I remember I had a gas pressurised 'rotokeg' with a float draught so you could start drinking soon as since it cleared from the top!

Used to go out every September w/end to pick elderberries.made 5 gallons of a better than average wine, also doubled up on ingredients to another 1-2 gallons of a port style which was amazingly good.

I use normally use bentonite(clay) to clear. Works pretty well. For fruit ciders it needs a pectic enzyme too.

Many moons ago a mate was into home brewing so we tried his concoction that he had made in empty glass Barr’s bottles. We were blootered after one bottle each. I can’t remember anything after the second one and had the worst hangover of my life in the morning. No sore rse though 😂

I used to know a guy from Kentucky.
Made tater vodka.
Showed me how to make corn liquor with 2stainless steel woks. Well he made it while I was there. (Secret ingredients) the curry stories yesterday reminded me of drinking it.

Women in my street used to make Poitín for my dad. My polish friend brings back Bimber for me. I drunk a half bottle of it after finishing my bottle of wine. Woke up with ringing ears the next morning. Must have done myself some damage.

Cachaca. I buy that for my brother in law fairly regularly as a present. For him to make caipirinhas. Lime sugar and Cachaca I think.
