There's a balance here between economics and health and I understand the point you're making.
But it hinges on us returning to the same economic model that has been in place for a century or so.
The question now is - can we replace that model with something else? Something fairer, something more equitable and something that can make lives better for everyone.
I don't think returning to the status quo is acceptable now and it's a golden opportunity for change.
Sadly I don't trust the UK government to grasp that nettle, but I think some governments around the globe will. Even the Spanish are embracing Universal Income.

See the thing is until there is a vaccine (at least a year) herd immunity is the only option.
That has to be supported by testing and contact tracing and indeed lockdown and restrictions to keep patients below what the NHS can cope with. As well as sheilding the vulnerable for whom the virus is most deadly.
Lockdown wasn't a change in the government plans was actually just an acceleration.
We are still on the same page as Sweden and similar countries. The difference is that their health service are better funded and prepared to cope with higher numbers per head of capita and even more importantly their population was able to follow guidelines without having to enforce stricter ones.

Feck knows to be honest.
DUSF came on the scene towards the end of the Stephen Thompson era and created a movement towards 1. getting fan ownership and 2 getting Thompson out. Unfortunately from the very start they alienated a lot of fans, myself included, with the way they conducted themselves, including organising a protest for a late season game against Hibs which was going to define our season. They split the support in half tbh.
They have however raised quite a bit of money that was intended to be put into the club, but evidently this hasn't gone well. Asking for shares is fair enough, but I'm confused by their request for a secured loan. It doesn't add up.
I'm also surprised at the club putting this into the public domain at this point. I don't understand the goal. The DUSF people put out a short statement last night stating their disappointment etc etc but I've no idea how this will conclude or indeed what will happen to the monies given to them.
All very bizarre.
do we even seem any better off in terms of testing?
I don't think so, this government is a joke, and now people are coming out of retirement (some of them to their deaths) as a result of those snide bastirts cutting jobs.

I tend to agree with this view. However, if there is corruption then it should be exposed. So, if Rangers have 'evidence' then they really need to bring it forward now.
Time to widdle or get off the pot.
I'm also surprised at the club putting this into the public domain at this point.

Plus - I can't think of a better time to put out a statement like that whilst everyone is looking across the road at your rivals...

I don't think they had to. The DUSF people seemed to think it was ongoing negotiations about the investment so I'm not sure what triggered Ogren to put out such a strong statement.

That’s just never going to happen. Greed will always be there, just perhaps it will come under a different name.
It’s a part of human nature and it will never go away, especially when this government is full of asset stripping disaster capitalists and hedge funding types.
We also have guys like Trump in power FFS. This guy needs popped. He’s very rapidly turning into a dictator as well as being an utterly abhorrent creature. Then there’s the US, which was founded on an elitist oligarchy, etc.
Nice idea Ivan but it ain’t ever gonna happen.
