Its not an impossible task at all, difficult but can be done. We need to start looking at how we can bring elements of normal life back or else we're all stuck in the limbo for a year.

Schools are already open.
They never shut. They just decreased the amount of kids attending is all.
Players will have to get fit again and that means at least 3-4 weeks of training which they can only do once there has been a fully approved plan of how they will protect the hundreds of people required at an EPL game when resources are at their thinnest.
Just not going to happen.

Well firstly we don't know if it will take a year for a vaccine and even if it did that doesn't prevent us knowing about other treatments that may hold the virus at bay. And then we will have more time to be able to cope better and have more essential equipment etc to deal with it.
As such maybe 4 months would be a reasonable date to start to plan from, as France etc are thinking of.
If you are thinking about waiting for a vaccine for a year then the rest of this thread is even more meaningless and you would have a very different plan as many clubs just simply would not survive.

That's a major part of it yes.
UEFA have given until 25th May to have an agreed and government approved plan to finish the leagues. To do that we would have had to be well ahead of where we are now.
And then you've all the testing, re testing of the hundreds of personnel required at each game and at each ground when testing equipment isn't even available for footballers.
Just far too much to do.

They might not be able to move or they might sign contracts on far lower wages etc. They don't have to physically move.
And clubs will certainly look to reduce outgoings in the face of loss of tv revenues and match day income. They'd be idiots not to. Why do you think many are asking payers to take salary cuts and/or deferrals?
And you are arguing against my point that I don't think football will be played in June so it's reasonable to think that you obviously do. Otherwise why argue with it?

Why a year?
Surely the sensible thing is to look at September or something? And remember that UEFA want your fully approved plans which have to be agreed by government to do this in the next 3-4 weeks
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A year for a vaccine to come out, what will be different between June and September with no vaccine?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Unless ginger you mean just the timings are not feasible cause of amount of organising and red tape to clear?

It's almost like football thinks it is above science and government strategies
Not a fwcking chance will there be football in 6 weeks or so time
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Its not an impossible task at all, difficult but can be done. We need to start looking at how we can bring elements of normal life back or else we're all stuck in the limbo for a year.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why?
There is talk of schools opening in June too
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Schools are already open.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When I said schools opening I meant kids going back. You can't have society going back to some sort of normality and players sit at home getting paid for nothing for 3 months and counting.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Quite
And therein lies another problem.
Hundreds of players will be out of contract at the end of June. Clubs will be glad to let many go as it will ease their cost base
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So football won’t be able to be played in June but players will be able to move clubs, houses, towns/cities and even countries.
Ok then

And while you're at it, explain to anyone how you think football can be played in June and overcome all the obstacles, red tape etc in its way.

You said you don’t think football will be played in 6 weeks (June is less than 6 weeks away). You then go on to say that players will be out of contract in June with clubs looking to offload players.
Explain how they will be able to move if we’re still in lockdown to the extent games can’t be played?
Where did I say I think football can be played in June?

You're entire next season argument is illogical and unreasonable. Its been explained countless times on here but perhaps this covers it.

Get used to it. Is there any point in waiting, let's just get the show on the road in a month or two, and if we are unable to allow the football pyramid to collapse.

I just don't believe for a second that you have any chance of playing football in June.

Might not be a bad thing for it to collapse and we start from scratch... I’ve got money tied up in tickets though and the idea of ‘credit’ pizzes me off.
