"I'd be very surprised if they scrapped it rather than follow the likes of Germany."
Their return is being herald as too early by most in Germany. Players are getting CV19, teams are in isolation, it's all a bit of a mess.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Teams should be in isolation, that's how it's going to work and it's ine team with three cases isnt it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So far, yes.
Nobody has kicked a ball yet.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
By isolation, I mean quarantine.
So no training. Very unfair on a side

Right so if everyone is tested and isoltated how will they catch it and how is that more reckless than going to a garden centre.
To say it's a mess seems over the top when it's three players from the second tier of German football.
I think people need to get their head around the fact that lockdown was about protecting health services being crippled not about actually not getting it per se. There's no cure and we're not staying inside for a year either.
The government may something tp say, one way or another.
If they're awarded the title and the season is voided, that's the fairest outcome imo.
——————
See I don’t see how it is fair (or most fair as nothing is fair in this) to give one team the title, essentially rewarding them for their efforts upto this point, but not also give teams promotion, relegation and European places for their efforts (or lack of) to this point.

It is a disgrace. It's like City saying they won't restart as it isn't fair that Liverpool are about to win it. Get over it. Life isn't fair and nor is football.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think it would be fair for Man City to argue that. Liverpool were floundering before it was abandoned and were about to bottle it. They have now had chance to regroup which is unfair.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Whilst this is an obvious attempt at winding up Liverpool fans, it holds a lot of merit.
Spurs were in awful form, no kane or Son. They now have a chance to revive their season.
Utd were seemingly turning a corner now.
Many examples of this, form and injuries are out the window that in itself as part of a 3 month lay off makes a mockery of the league.

It would be wholly unfair to relegate any team under these circumstances, the season is compromised and the rules have been changed part way through a season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Im glad to see you're still championing 2019 being voided after Spurs played in three home stadiums. Keep fighting the good fight mate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And? Liverpool play 80% of their games with 13 men, but I`ve not seen any season voided because of that either.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No that's in your head Billy. You're famous for it.
Remember when you used to cry about us getting penalties and it turned out Spurs got more penalties at Anfield than we did?

Because Liverpool are so far ahead, they would have won the league. It's a clear exception.
@DJ, yeah a 22 team league protects everyone’s best interests but then how far down the football pyramid would this go? Or is it just for PL.
========
Below the PL you would just have the same number of teams as this season. 3 go up, replaced by 3 from next tier down.
In the National Leagues 3 divisions the top 7 in each division is fighting for promotion/play-offs to be carried out while the rest of the teams are voting to void the season.

The virus survives on surfaces. Therefore, there is always potential for you to catch it from deliveries or just touching surfaces on your daily exercise.
You can say the players are isolated, but they will need to move around the country, entre different buildings etc. Unless you are going to disinfect every surface they will ever touch, track the movements of everyone who will ever step where they will; it is perfectly possible for a player or staff member to catch the virus.
