Wow, I did what even Winston couldn't do. I got toordude to give up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't flatter yourself, Winston gets me to do it frequently. He's the master of the fight to the end. I don't have the patience anymore. Plus I'm supposed to be working, on my own whilst every other person is on furlough.
So I'm off to do some work.

Pogba is more talented player no doubt. The way Liverpool play, Henderson suits them. Klopp would have to play a different system if he had Pogba instead of Henderson.
So Henderson is perfect for the system Liverpool play currently and Pogba would not be. Take out Pogba and put in Henderson into the side at United and the United midfield regresses.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly!

You don't have an outstanding midfield. You have (arguably) an outstanding team with an OK midfield.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You don't reach 2 consecutive CL finals, and only lose 3 PL games out of 67, by having an OK midfield.
As I said, a player who last year lost possession of the ball, 252 times, isn't the type of player that we would be able to, or indeed want to accommodate in our squad.

What about Messi, a player who loses the ball the most of any other player in the Spanish League? Is he good enough for your team?
Pogba spends more time walking around the pitch than any other PL midfielder so I doubt Klopp would put up with that at all.

Clearly you can, because you did.
Two European finals in a row, PL about to be won, by a record margin, OK midfield. Wow. People are stupid.
Henderson Fabinho Wijnaldum is an OK midfield. It's definitely not world class or anything.
The Liverpool midfield isn’t a collection of outstanding players - but it is a bunch of players who do exactly what is asked to provide a platform for the front three to do their thing. It’s a redundant debate to compare quality with other midfielders as it’s almost like putting square pegs in round holes. It works for Klopp’s Liverpool so they’re the very best for that particular job.

It’s a midfield that would be disrupted by putting someone like Pogba in it though. Balance is everything
Klopp would just change his system if he had the option to trade Pogba for Henderson.
He'd probably just play something like this:
Fabinho Wijnaldum
Salah Pogba Mane
Firmino

No he wouldn't. This takes Firmino's space and also completely destroys the quick transition, whilst taking a huge part away from the pressing. Pogba is not good enough to play in Liverpool's midfield. He'd work better in a team who have a slow transition, a more defensive shape, with two defensive midfielders behind him, who don't press as a team but rely more on individuals. Not many of them about nowadays who could afford him.
Klopp would love Pogba pinging long balls to the forwards to run onto.
I don’t think Klopp would choose Pogba over Henderson
Zidane would, Pep would too, and Mourinho, Conte would as well, so would Allegri, and Simeone and just about every other manager on the planet
