During that run pogba went on after ole first arrived he was averaging more pressures per 90 than any of liverpool's midfielders have done this season.
Pogba’s defensive contribution is often overlooked. He has flaws there for sure, but you’d think he’s Mesut Ozil the way some people talk about him.

They’re completely different players which makes comparison hard anyway but Henderson has certainly fulfilled his role better than Pogba has fulfilled his.
Does Pogba have a higher ceiling than Hendo? Yeah probably but his lack of consistency pulls Pogba down.
It’s a bit like Ronaldo Vs Messi. A lot of people choose Messi due to the natural talent factor but I personally think it’s more admirable that Ronaldo got to Messi’s performance levels through sheer dedication & hard work to his profession. If Messi applied himself As Ronaldo has over the last 13 years say, then Messi would be well clear imo.
Much like Pogba, if he applied himself as well as Hendo has, made the best of himself, then Pogba would be well clear and this wouldn’t even be a debate.

It certainly shows he’s a hard worker, it’s up to a coach to use this hard work in the right way. Henderson was seen as a complete clown before Klopp showed up, it didn’t matter how much he ran.
When Ole first came in and we started pressing teams, Pogba was as good as anybody.
What these stats show, is that what people think of Pogba on this thread is complete bollox.
He ran more than Henderson last season, had more goals, more assists, created more chances, more blocks, more interceptions, more clearances, more headed clearances, more ariel battles won, more tackles.
Yet we’re supposed to believe Klopp wouldn’t take Pogba in a heart beat and that Henderson is better. It’s comical.
Henderson is consistent, he’s consistent at doing exactly what Klopp wants, like Darren Fletcher did for Fergie. He’ll never reach a consistent world class level.

Different types of player entirely. When they are both in form, I'd take both in my side. Pogba has better ability in being a flair player, being able to create and open up defences and is a very good player overall, but he's far too inconsistent.
Henderson is an excellent leader, he's also good on the ball and shows it many times. Fantastic work ethic, good at the press to suit Liverpool's style, a good all-round leader and he helps Liverpool dictate games from the middle of the park. I wouldn't say he's world class, but I'd certainly say Liverpool are worse off without him.
Fernandes looks a good player, clever player for sure and he does seem to give that United midfield more in the way of creativity, but again, comparing him to any of Liverpool's usual starting trio of Fabinho, Henderson or Wijnaldum isn't really viable because I wouldn't really say any of Liverpool's midfielders there are "creators" in a traditional sense. The best comparison for Fernandes in terms of style of play would be Oxlade-Chamberlain or Lallana, who of course he's better than.
If you're trying to say who would the combined midfield 3 be, I'd say it completely depends of the style of the team and who else would be in it.

Whilst it does say run I doubt that it is anything more than a distance tracker.
They’re very different players which poses the biggest difficulty for comparison. Pogba has certainly had periods where he has performed very well and as I mentioned his ceiling is clearly higher than Henderson’s but I think that Hendo has fulfilled his role better than Pogba has fulfilled his. Hopefully that changes if United continue to grow & improve as we were up until the break.
Pogba and Henderson are judged by different measures. One is extremely talented and the other isn’t. If Pogba was playing to the level Henderson does he’d still get torn to shreds because it’s not enough.

It certainly shows he’s a hard worker, it’s up to a coach to use this hard work in the right way. Henderson was seen as a complete clown before Klopp showed up, it didn’t matter how much he ran.
When Ole first came in and we started pressing teams, Pogba was as good as anybody.
What these stats show, is that what people think of Pogba on this thread is complete bollox.
He ran more than Henderson last season, had more goals, more assists, created more chances, more blocks, more interceptions, more clearances, more headed clearances, more ariel battles won, more tackles.
Yet we’re supposed to believe Klopp wouldn’t take Pogba in a heart beat and that Henderson is better. It’s comical.

They’re completely different players which makes comparison hard anyway but Henderson has certainly fulfilled his role better than Pogba has fulfilled his.
Does Pogba have a higher ceiling than Hendo? Yeah probably but his lack of consistency pulls Pogba down.
It’s a bit like Ronaldo Vs Messi. A lot of people choose Messi due to the natural talent factor but I personally think it’s more admirable that Ronaldo got to Messi’s performance levels through sheer dedication & hard work to his profession. If Messi applied himself As Ronaldo has over the last 13 years say, then Messi would be well clear imo.
Much like Pogba, if he applied himself as well as Hendo has, made the best of himself, then Pogba would be well clear and this wouldn’t even be a debate.

Different types of player entirely. When they are both in form, I'd take both in my side. Pogba has better ability in being a flair player, being able to create and open up defences and is a very good player overall, but he's far too inconsistent.
Henderson is an excellent leader, he's also good on the ball and shows it many times. Fantastic work ethic, good at the press to suit Liverpool's style, a good all-round leader and he helps Liverpool dictate games from the middle of the park. I wouldn't say he's world class, but I'd certainly say Liverpool are worse off without him.
Fernandes looks a good player, clever player for sure and he does seem to give that United midfield more in the way of creativity, but again, comparing him to any of Liverpool's usual starting trio of Fabinho, Henderson or Wijnaldum isn't really viable because I wouldn't really say any of Liverpool's midfielders there are "creators" in a traditional sense. The best comparison for Fernandes in terms of style of play would be Oxlade-Chamberlain or Lallana, who of course he's better than.
If you're trying to say who would the combined midfield 3 be, I'd say it completely depends of the style of the team and who else would be in it.

Whilst it does say run I doubt that it is anything more than a distance tracker.
They’re very different players which poses the biggest difficulty for comparison. Pogba has certainly had periods where he has performed very well and as I mentioned his ceiling is clearly higher than Henderson’s but I think that Hendo has fulfilled his role better than Pogba has fulfilled his. Hopefully that changes if United continue to grow & improve as we were up until the break.

Different types of player entirely. When they are both in form, I'd take both in my side. Pogba has better ability in being a flair player, being able to create and open up defences and is a very good player overall, but he's far too inconsistent.
Henderson is an excellent leader, he's also good on the ball and shows it many times. Fantastic work ethic, good at the press to suit Liverpool's style, a good all-round leader and he helps Liverpool dictate games from the middle of the park. I wouldn't say he's world class, but I'd certainly say Liverpool are worse off without him.
Fernandes looks a good player, clever player for sure and he does seem to give that United midfield more in the way of creativity, but again, comparing him to any of Liverpool's usual starting trio of Fabinho, Henderson or Wijnaldum isn't really viable because I wouldn't really say any of Liverpool's midfielders there are "creators" in a traditional sense. The best comparison for Fernandes in terms of style of play would be Oxlade-Chamberlain or Lallana, who of course he's better than.
If you're trying to say who would the combined midfield 3 be, I'd say it completely depends of the style of the team and who else would be in it.

As others have said Pogba is more talented, but saying Klopp would trade Henderson for Pogba shows you have absolutely no idea about Klopp as a manager.

The stat clearly says ‘distance run’
It certainly shows he’s a hard worker, it’s up to a coach to use this hard work in the right way. Henderson was seen as a complete clown before Klopp showed up, it didn’t matter how much he ran.
When Ole first came in and we started pressing teams, Pogba was as good as anybody.
What these stats show, is that what people think of Pogba on this thread is complete bollox.
He ran more than Henderson last season, had more goals, more assists, created more chances, more blocks, more interceptions, more clearances, more headed clearances, more ariel battles won, more tackles.
Yet we’re supposed to believe Klopp wouldn’t take Pogba in a heart beat and that Henderson is better. It’s comical.
Henderson is consistent, he’s consistent at doing exactly what Klopp wants, like Darren Fletcher did for Fergie. He’ll never reach a consistent world class level.
