I think at their peak, City were superior to the other 2 you mentioned.
Out of those 3, which are the correct choice btw...I have to say the 17/18 City team is the best.

Is there any ulterior motive for Liverpool fans choosing City 17/18?
I think it’s between City and Chelsea. I think over a season City would win but in a one off game between the two i’d defo bet on Chelsea. Difficult one lol
that united team won the treble...

Liverpool won the treble in 01 and City won the treble last year. Liverpool when they wrap up the title will win another treble this year.

You mean the ulterior motive of them playing arguably the best football this league has seen.

THE treble, not a treble
Agree with the three choices of each decade, but calling United 98-99 the best of the three is highly debatable. Most United fans I talk to even think their 07-08 team was better on quality, the treble winning team just had a unique heart & grit about them.
Personally I'd have 98-99 United 3rd (in best overall PL teams 4th or even 5th), and it's really tough between 04-05 Chelsea & 17-18 City. I echo Kunta Kante's opinion, put both in a 38 game season & City would win the race, but in a one off match something tells me we'd have at least a 50-50 chance - when it needed to that team could absorb pressure & break out like no other team the PL has ever had, not even Leicester 15-16.
Sitting back and absorbing pressure is not how you beat that City team though.
Do people not understand how rare it is a team wins the treble? It's very difficult to achieve. This great Liverpool team fell flat on their arrrrse trying to match that achievement.
What does winning the treble have to do with being the best PL team.
FA Cup & CL isn't a joint competition with the league.
Because Manchester United are a premier league team dipshiiit.
But what does that have to do with the FA Cup & CL?
Because they're a Premier League team dipshiiit.
Yeah and we're judging a premier league team on their premier league performances. What does that have to do with the FA Cup and CL?
What are you babbling on about, we're judging a premier league team based on how good they were.

Big difference between 'a' treble and 'THE' treble.
i won the World Cup once, a subbuteo world cup at school.
Even that's a lie, but you get what I'm saying.
And I voted Brexit!
