Jean-Kevin Augustin & Ian Poveda

Poveda was a free so we cant lose. He is apparently very nippy and exciting to watch. Dont think he'll feature for a while though.

Augustin was a gamble even though Angus said we wouldn't gamble. He looks well trim now so is definitely another striker option. I hope he comes good for us.

The coaching staff have said they're very happy with the way things have gone with Augustin and think because of the run in he'll play a big part!..

Lockdown has given him a chance to get fit and he's up to what Bielsa wants from his players, so, maybe there will be a goal or 3 to be seen!..

I suspect we will have to see a bit more rotation than usual if all the games are to be fit into a month long period. Means games coming thick and fast. I'd be surprised if Augustin doesn't play a role in that.

could be a very big chance for Augustin this! - impress and who knows considering the hype around him before he came

I've only seen Augustin on the box a couple of times when he played for Leipzig, he looked decent but you never know, the box, some here say Youtube makes anyone look decent, so here's hoping!..

We all know it’ll be Bielsa’s normal team till promotion confirmed. Until then the only chance of Augustin getting match time is if we’re not winning with 20/30 mins to go.

Can’t see other fringe players who weren’t on the bench last few matches getting any time till promotion confirmed.

Think with the break there is going to be far more care needed to get these players through the last few games.

If Augustin has managed to get himself in shape he could be very useful.

Not sure about Poveda, seems he would be down the order of things.

He’s not getting paid then ???

On a four and half year deal too, and if true he’s on £20k a week

Wonder how Forshaw is doing, should be fit by now...

I cant but help be concerned about the amount of youth academies that kid bounced around.

20 and 1 senior game too is a slight worry.

He cant be on 20k a week can he, what has he actually shown that makes anyone think he is worth that?

form might go out the window with the layoff so i think bielsa will be using the whole squad. it's going to be like a short pre-season.
augustin looks fit so who knows. my thoughts are that we have a decent backup here.
can't wait to see.

Only £4.68m then

Forshaw was still on crutches not long back. Very long term injury. Rule him out i reckon

Would love to see him back, but I'd imagine with him not being able to train properly on top of a long term injury the club would be very cautious about his return even if he is fit.

I like the guy and think fit he is very useful for this run in, but I just dont see how that can be the case

Forshaw was excellent start of the season, but we cant afford injury prone players if we get promoted. Hope he gets back to his best, good energy levels.

Oh, as long as that is all it is!

At least we have monies from LIW's two season ticket monies to partly cover this for a few years.

Perhaps he was a petulent kid and is now matured?

We could sell him and make a chunk of those wages back. Would have been one to watch in pre season.

I litrally have no idea what you are basing that on.

He is a player who has been at 5 clubs before us yet never broken into the first team, you cant be basing it on game time.

He is a player man city allowed to leave one free rushing to a million. So the fact that he was at man city for 6 months before they wanted shot of him on a free cant be what you are basing him being one to watch on.

I'm not saying he wont be good, just that I wouldnt be surprised if he joined the scrapheap of other young "promising" sugnjmgs we have made

The full story behind the reason he has had so many clubs is actually quite reasonable and is not what it seems.

Involves parents that would push their son to get the best opportunities possible when younger. This led to moving to better academies where possible and led to Barcelona. He was forced out of Barcelona by the UEFA/FIFA ban that was impossed on Barcelona following their illegal payments/purchasers of foreign players under the legal age.

I believe he then chose to move to Brentford but when Man City come calling it's hard to turn down.

It's been since February when I read this so may not be 100% accurate but it's pretty close.

Does not mean he is a superstar but means that amount of clubs doesn't signal trouble causer.

It makes me wonder what people thought about Harrison when he first came to us!..

A player we want to keep now!..

Poveda is now working with our youngsters and Bielsa's team have a good habit of bringing the best out of average as we should know!..

You never know, our coaching team is better than its been for years, and if anything Poveda might be just a little more than people on the outside can see!..
