“ But on the topic Of injuries these players can’t even train properly and after what two months off they’re gonna be dropped into intense games....yeah that won’t end in injuries at all.”
This is why they’ve started training now, 2/3 weeks before they intent on restarting. The intensity of training will be amped up like they do in preseason.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What else do they do in preseason ?
Last season United for example began pre season training on July 1 after 7 weeks from final game
They then trained for 8 weeks including 7 pre season games. I won’t even get into training properly (contact, set pieces etc) all things they can’t do now.
The players have had a typical summer break working on exercise bikes and relaxing and suddenly they’re thrust into the deep end of a season with not even a friendly to fine tune.
Madness
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh well, being the fit specimens they are I’m sure they’ll muddle through.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We should also note that Wolves started their season in July last year. Surely they wouldn't have had the same preseason as everyone else? Surely they would have been more likely to get injuries? Yet, which team has used fewest players in the PL this season, in spite of playing more games than anybody else? Wolves, of course

It has already been proven games can be played, Germany has been doing it the last two weekends.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Such a ridiculous comment. Games can be played pretty much anywhere and anytime. Coronavirus isn’t going to physically stop most people from doing anything. It has taken months for all of the world’s hard work to start producing a downturn infection rate but yea, 2 rounds of fixtures over a short period of time in a country where the virus has been largely under control since day one is conclusive proof that no bad can come from the PL returning

Not saying that things are going to go tiiiits up over there. It’s just to state as fact that they’ve proved football can be played with no longer term side effects in relation to the virus is ridiculous

I honestly think football being played, given the stringent testing measures being put in place is the least of any worries of the spread of the virus. If anything, it will see those diagnosed who are asymptomatic self isolate and be far less likely to spread than had they not been tested.
At the end of the day, there will almost inevitably be another spike in cases and, sadly, deaths. Simply because as soon as measures are relaxed, people will be in contact with people on a more regular basis. People will also let their guard down, thinking the worst is over, and that's when we will be back to square one
