Didnt his rangers team also bottle the spl this season after getting themselves in the driving seat

He goes to a country where the team with 'You'll Never Walk Alone' as their anthem beats them to the title. They just keep on coming...

Alan Shearer not far behind.

It's easier to be a great player in great teams. Then you have what Gerrard did, carrying an average Liverpool team through some pretty rough times.

Don't really get your points, nobody is disputing gerrard was a great player and one of the best midfielders. But he clearly is the ultimate loser in football Lol

It's a bit like you could suggest John Terry, just off the top of my head, missed CL final we won, the only CL final he played in he missed a penalty to win it, he missed the europa league finals we won, so he never technically played in a european final we won, got kicked and knocked unconscious in a carling cup final

Does make me smile when I see someone who reached the top of their profession and has achieved more than 99% of us ever will, is called a loser by someone who probably still gets their mum to do their washing. That's the internet I guess.

Fantastic player but some of his back-passes were shocking

I like your optimism that 1% of the users on this site will achieve as much as Gerrard (!)

And as liquid said, i think the more boring answer, in terms of major european players who lost finals etc, is ballack.

I assume, given the expertise that seems to have sprung up over the last 3 months, that at least 1% of us will discover a vaccination to covid-19?

Maybe not.

Gerrard was a fan of Chelsea. I think he done a back pass to drogba one year to score, scored an own goal for us in a final, got sent off In that massive game in 2003 to decide who got champions league and also the slip.

How long have you been following this beautiful game for? Gerrard was top 3, if not the best central midfielder in the world at one point. his ability to get liverpool out from the clutches of death was second to none.

Their was one player that would always make me be on the edge of my seat when he had the ball at least 30 yards from goal, and that was Gerrard.

Especially if that goal was his own goal

besides its a team game, and its even more a credit to him that he won what he did with the teams and managers he was in/under. No like Rangers were favourites either. Can't all be carried to success and overrated like Scholes and Lamps can they? Stevie did most the carrying himself thats the difference.

Trying to pick up a cheap title in America and then failing was funny as well.
