TAA not world class? The guy has the record number of assists for his position in the PL. I believe this season and last he was 2nd in assists only to KDB (Robertson is 3rd incidentally joint with Silva!!). Bringing those sorts of numbers from RB makes you world class regardless of any other deficiencies (part of the best defence in the league over the last 2 years mind you...)
In response to Eric, Pavard has 5 assists, Hakimi 10 (2 less than trent) PSG right backs between them have hardly any to speak of. So he blows them out of the water offensively.
And let's not just focus on stats. The quality of his delivery and free kicks are clear for anyone to see. Plus his defensive game hasn't looked dodgy for ages and is mostly explained by the fact he's told to push forward and others are specifically there to cover him.

The majority of world class players are forwards as they are the ones who win you matches and cost the most money. There are only 10 or so world class forwards in the world at the moment:
Messi
Ronaldo
Mbappe
Rashford
Aguero
Martial

Greenwood

Many have called for that exact thing. At the moment we have probably the best attacking RB in world football (which is fundamental to our playing style) so why change it?
If Neco Williams comes on in a similar manner though and we are hopeful about him, then you can imagine moving Trent forward in order to utilise them both. Big ask of young Neco though!

He used to be a lot more wasteful. He's definitely improved with his finishing. Still messes up chances but we do have to remember he isn't a striker, and regardless manages to put the ball into the net close to 20 times a season.

Sterling is a funny one as I think he is made better by being in that City team. If you popped him into another (less good) team would he be anywhere near as effective? All players would drop to some extent but some of the other names here KDB, Salah etc would still look top drawer no matter what was around them. Not sure that is the same with Sterling.
Part of that is that one of his main attributes is excellent movement which is pointless if your teammates cant pass. He's not a ball at feet type so will never look as good.

Sterling has benefitted largely by being at City and under Pep and he's become a better all round player to the point if you take him out of City, I think he would still be doing well. Look at him for England. 8 goals in 9 for 2019. Before that his stats looked piiss poor.

Lots of the players are being mentioned on the back of one half decent season (Pereira). Others (TAA and Robertson etc) are patently not WORLD class. There are lots of very good players in the premier league but not many are top, top TOP players season in season out. When people mention Scholes, the man did it over a decade, every year. Pogba doesn't even do it for his girlfriend. Lots of these players have world class reputations but are not world class performers.

It's all about opinion. And as good as they are, and they are good, I don't think they are world class.

TAA not world class? The guy has the record number of assists for his position in the PL. I believe this season and last he was 2nd in assists only to KDB (Robertson is 3rd incidentally joint with Silva!!). Bringing those sorts of numbers from RB makes you world class regardless of any other deficiencies (part of the best defence in the league over the last 2 years mind you...)

The majority of world class players are forwards as they are the ones who win you matches and cost the most money. There are only 10 or so world class forwards in the world at the moment:
Messi
Ronaldo
Mbappe

Many have called for that exact thing. At the moment we have probably the best attacking RB in world football (which is fundamental to our playing style) so why change it?
If Neco Williams comes on in a similar manner though and we are hopeful about him, then you can imagine moving Trent forward in order to utilise them both. Big ask of young Neco though!

He used to be a lot more wasteful. He's definitely improved with his finishing. Still messes up chances but we do have to remember he isn't a striker, and regardless manages to put the ball into the net close to 20 times a season.

Sterling is a funny one as I think he is made better by being in that City team. If you popped him into another (less good) team would he be anywhere near as effective? All players would drop to some extent but some of the other names here KDB, Salah etc would still look top drawer no matter what was around them. Not sure that is the same with Sterling.
Part of that is that one of his main attributes is excellent movement which is pointless if your teammates cant pass. He's not a ball at feet type so will never look as good.

Sterling has benefitted largely by being at City and under Pep and he's become a better all round player to the point if you take him out of City, I think he would still be doing well. Look at him for England. 8 goals in 9 for 2019. Before that his stats looked piiss poor.

Lots of the players are being mentioned on the back of one half decent season (Pereira). Others (TAA and Robertson etc) are patently not WORLD class. There are lots of very good players in the premier league but not many are top, top TOP players season in season out. When people mention Scholes, the man did it over a decade, every year. Pogba doesn't even do it for his girlfriend. Lots of these players have world class reputations but are not world class performers.
