Should be getting Jose to pay for it since he brought him in. Biggest mistake of a signing we’ve made in a decade.
Need to just move him on now. There are many other players we need to shift as well.

Get a grip. Everyone thought it was a good deal at the time. No one knew he was actually finished at that point. You signed him in January 2018. In the 16-17 season he scored 30 goals. Can't blame Mourinho for what happened with him, Guardiola was trying to sign him at the time ffs. If Man City had signed him and he'd flopped, I bet you wouldn't be slagging off Guardiola.
Remember quite a few Arsenal fans saying he was gash in the run up to us signing him.
The only good part of the deal was getting rid of Mkhitaryan and not additional fee!
Everyone knew the deal was an exercise in power over our neighbours, as he was best from the left and neither Martial nor Rashford had shown considerable propensity to play CF or from the right, and foreboding concerns surrounding the astronomical wages
Exciting but stupid, is how I remember it

I was glad that we signed him, but looking back now, there was signs that he was already done during his last few months at Arsenal. His form wasn't good at all and the club should have probably paid more attention to his last injury and the impact that it had on his ability to complete at the top. We basically made the same mistake as Chelsea did with Torres.

100%, but it wasn't a mistake by Mourinho since Guardiola was also after Alexis at the time. It was just one of those things that happens sometimes.
I’ve nothing against Alexis but I think it’s best for everyone if he moves on.
I have a feeling that Inter are hoping that we'll do them some kind of 'buddy deal' since they've already bought Lukaku and Young off us last season.
But this deal also depends on how much Sanchez wants a fresh start. IE how much is he willing to reduce his wage to get it.
In fairness, we're fortunate that we never paid a huge fee for him in the first place. But that having a moody soul at the club gone, lifts the place. It's good that he's finding his feet again somewhere else.
Hope it doesn't come back to haunt us in the Europa if we meet

Is there any real evidence that Sanchez was a moody soul at United?
Could be true but was probably just lazy media assumptions.
I know he has found some form at Inter, but for me, we should cut our losses and get rid. It'll take a bit of a pay off, but I don't see any reason to risk the squad harmony that Ole seems to have built since taking over.
.....
I don’t see why it should take any kind of payoff from us.
If Inter want him and he wants to go there then they need to negotiate his wages with the player and we wave goodbye.
Everyone wins.

I get what your saying but some players won’t take a voluntary pay cut.
Maybe we could waive the fee and let Inter give that to Sanchez as a signing on bonus. That might entice him to accept lower wages.
I've never understood this nonsense that its up to us to subside wages for players who leave us permanently.
Does he think he is worth £400k a week for the rest of his career? If he wants to leave to join Inter he should have to accept he won't be getting the same salary.

This is where Ed needs to grow some bollox.Make it clear to the player that he drops his wages or he comes back to United and doesn’t play football until the end of his contract.
Sanchez obviously still a good / excellent player, which his recent games has shown.
This is great news, and increase our chances of getting a good sum back from what we paid. Or let's call it our "failed investment".
But lets break down the numbers..
It's huge focus on his salary, but remember, we got him cheap. Given we had payed £80m for him (63 was his market value at that time). On the transfer we saved about £50m, so I don't care about the fact that we've probably paid 200k a week to much in his salary over 2,5 year (about £26m).
There is risks in all transfers, you might buy the best player in the world, and then he get hit in a car accident the next day, so let's put things into perspective.
