Why compare Suarez, who is a wide player, with a striker like RvP?
Well i dont care who others have, if Liverpool have:
Reina
Carra
Gerrard
Kuyt
Mata / Nzogbia
Carroll
Suarez
Kelly
Johnson
Agger
I have the upmost confidence that we WILL make the top four. Rivals are judging Liverpool on a season and a half bighted by the end of the Benitez era and the most bizzare period when owners left and managers come and went, plus we lost Masch and torres.
It is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT now, if you cant see that then your club colours run to deep to see whats in front of you.
Stability, financial muscle and a legend in charge...say what you will, but i bet you wont find a Liverpool supporter who is not extremely happy about our future prospects. Slate, slug all you want....I CANT WAIT FOR THE SEASON START.

Liverpool fans make me laugh.

i misread your post. I agree, You'll make top 4 at the expense of Arsenal.
Hold on Chelsea!! I said top four, we wont get the title just yet. However, i will take the bait:
Your right, its been 20yrs BUT, i maintain; this is the FIRST time in 20+yrs Liverpool are in such a strong position, never before in the premiership era has a Liverpool team had this amount of money, this amount of talent and this type of manager ALL at the same time.
By the way, without all this we still managed a treble, champions league win (something CFC have NOT managed with all their money i might add) fa cup finals and missed out on the prem by 4 points!!
So imagine what we can do WITH these resources.
Good to see Liverpool delusions are alive and well

Not worried who we get, trying to win the title will be the main priority, Mancini and some of the players have already stated that.

Im sure thats what they have said
--------------------
All the post-sason talk from the players and management has been about doing better in the league next year whivh means finishing 2nd or winnining it. The CL hasn't been mentioned because the club staff are grounded like our fans and won't get all giddy like Spuds just because we might be playing some of the better known European teams.
Got Better.
Yep. Interesting season coming up. Premiership just gets better and better. 6 teams now vying for 4 spots..
Just to clarify, How wealthy are your guys? I thought they were gna operate a sell before buy policy?Where in the blue hell have you got all this money from.
never before in the premiership era has a Liverpool team had this amount of money, this amount of talent and this type of manager ALL at the same time.
====================================
Yep,so much talent you came 6th.
Such a good manager he lost all the games that mattered.Lost in the FA Cup,lost in Europe, lost 2 games when you needed points for EL and lost to Woy.
Yep,I see what you're saying
>>Where in the blue hell have you got all this money from.
Minted owners.
We've barely spent anything yet anyway.

The 606 boards were filled with comments just like this the summer after Liverpool finished 2nd in the league. It's really hard to take you guys seriously when we hear the same thing over and over again, and it never comes true...

Well 80M last year got you less points than the season before so another 300M and maybe you'll get 5th.

You are dead right. I dont know about others but i fully expected a big push to top spot from second, what happened? Well its been well documented, but essentially we lost Alonso and H&G brought in a sell to buy policy.
Now the fans did not realise this at the time, its only after listeneing to Benitez (who was culpable for Xabi leaving...but its a different arguement that one) who basically said the yanks stopped investing.
Now i dont know how a team can improve when it has to sell to buy, that just means you stay the same or get worse...we got worse.
Where is the money coming from?? essentially Liverpool are owned by a Billionaire consortium, they are NOT like RA or City's owners rather slow build on youth an top quality players.
These guys are serious, they own a yankee baseball team and spent $80M (thereabouts) on ONE player!!! They have said they have NO transfer budget, but rather "tell me who you want and we will see what we can do".
I have watched there press interviews, read all about their past and listenend to the football guys over in USA, ex Liverpool player Nicol said we are in good hands, the baseball team they own; well they won the best owners award for the league, as well as trophies for their team...these guys are very professional and savvy, the anti of H&G.

You mean $120m on Gonzalez??
Last season was the worst standard for a long long time, Man.Utd were not that good at-all they just won the league because every one else was even worse. There's a reason this was the first time 80 points was enough to win the league since 99 and this was utd's lowest tally since 04/05.
Statically Utd's team of 09/10 which finished 2nd were better and ended up with 5 more points than they did in 10/11, lucky for them tho they had no-one that took advantage of their slip ups like we did in 09/10.
Arsenal have got worse, so have us, Pool and Spurs, infact only City have progressed points wise out of the whole of the top 6 this season from 09/10.
Man.Utd are IMO in as big a transitinal period as they were in 03-06, the difference is tho in 03-06 there were other teams at the peak of their powers that made sure Utd didn't get near the league title, today there is not.
TBF..as a Liverpool fan i am caught a bit unaware, i dont agree with sugar daddies like CFC or City, but Liverpool have a bit of it now and i cant say i am upset.
I just hope we continue to buy the Liverpool strategy, investing in quality youth nad not loads in and loads out after a couple of yrs buying.
In short, id rather the league was more even in terms of finance, but if Utd, City, CFC continue to spend milllions after millions what can other teams do to compete??

There are no transfer fees in baseball. What you are talking about his his wages over the length of his contract.
That contract is between the player and the club not them personally so if they left it would still have to be paid for by the club.
It is not an outlay from them LOL
You Liverpool fans are really gullable.
