Surely the issue a lot of people are having isn't that United are getting penalties, it's that they seem to be getting penalties for fouls that no one else is getting.
Salah gets grabbed and pulled like Martial did last night virtually every other game and yet we've only had 5 penalties all season.
It's not United's fault, the lack of consistency is just frustrating.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s this sort of nonsense comment that irritates me.
No real basis to this comment is there, yet you’ve convinced yourself there’s a problem so that’s that.
I mean, let’s ignore that last night was a European competition. Let’s ignore that there have been at least two penalties in recent seasons awarded to fouls on Salah that have involved similar circumstances - touched on the shoulder and then he falls to the ground - that have had many Liverpool fans defending him.
Let’s just call it inconsistent and convince ourselves that’s the case.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What's wrong with the comment?
I don't think there's any grand conspiracy, as I already said it's not United's fault, but do you genuinely believe there's no inconstancy in refereeing?
The Welsh Xavi (U15412)
Talk about move the goalposts.
Of course there are inconsistencies.
But that is very different from what you said, which suggests that all of those inconsistencies are going in United's favour and that Salah doesn't get penalties for similar incidents to the one last night.
It's just plain wrong.
I saw the penalty decison last night and it was very soft. As an Arsenal supporter I reckon we would have got that 0% of the time. Hell would have to freeze, defrost and freeze again before we would get that.
And the only way you can really do a genuine comparison of refs decisions is to watch all of every game. Otherwise you re just comparing the highlights you see which is what we do in reality. Using Arsenal as an example there are so many times we see sot fouls given against us but a lot harder ones against us get no free kick. The Brighton game was a good example, with Bissouma in particular getting away with 6 challenges worthy of a yellow card. But do they show those challenges on the highlights, maybe one or two but certainly not all of them so you cant give a genuine view of the ref based on highlights.
We get more penalties, Because we attack more, Just a thought.

sky should do a video of all the penalties we were wrongly denied this season. Could make another 5 minute video. I don't think any other team was as badly affected by decisions as Man Utd this season. Clear decisions ignored by VAR which shows corruption. We should have tons more penalties. The irony of the penalty we got against Villa was they got away with 3 fouls in the box in the 2 games but the one we got wasn't a penalty.
Copenhagen should of has a penalty first half for the shirt pulling by Bailey after he had been left on the deck but curiously there was no interest in looking at that one,he did try and give united a penalty when nobody on the pitch had any idea why he was pointing at the spot though

Bother to see the replay? Copenhagen player got his hand on Martial after Maguire head the ball. If Maguire hadn't been offsite, then it would have been a correct penalty call
Does amuse me that when people are talking about our penalties they only ever refer to the one or two that we all agree shouldn't have been given, but decide to ignore all of the other ones.
Seriously, watching a 5 min video shows that the issue isn't that we're getting lots of penalties (coz they're mostly legit!), it's that we're getting more than whoever their team is. Gonna be honest, haven't watched enough of any other team to say whether they should have had more or not.

We get more penalties, Because we attack more, Just a thought.

It's funny that you get more penalties now you are not so good isn't it. You attacked more back in the day and didn't get so many penalties as you didn't need the help. Now you need that little help and there it is. This also ignores the fact VAR helped you more than any other this season.
Corruption is rife in football, english football needs man utd to be relevant from a financial perspective. The only thing that is amazing about this is that some people can't see it.

sky should do a video of all the penalties we were wrongly denied this season.

You're right - when we were winning things, nobody ever said anything about refereeing decisions going in United's favour.
