Tevez - just leave English football now!

I like him.

I hope they make an example of him, not for the spoilt bunch up north, but for football as a whole. They should send out a message that however good you are NO player is bigger than a club.

They can't possibly do nothing,he has to be heavily fined or even sold but they have problems there. All is not wine and roses at City.

I just hope they don't send him home, send him elsewhere, just not home.

why should tevez leave english football...

players like tevez ruin football..... but clubs like man city also ruin football.

tevez is at a perfect club for him, and i have no sympathy whatsoever for city

Excuse City for trying to improve as club

I just heard an interview. Tevez said he didnt feel well mentally to play... . He said that Mancini didnt give him the chance of playing....

After 5 years the guy needs to have a translation because he cant speak any English.

No doubt about the problems that excessive wealth brings but it sickens me to think that this sort of situation is occurring in the first place especially with an english team effectively representing the country abroad, or am I just old fashioned in the way that I portray english clubs playing in europe these days??

as long as they dont break any rules then they are within their rights to do what they please and spend what they want.

that doesnt mean that i should have sympathy for them after one of their players throws a strop.

chelsea are another culprit. if mata turned round tomorrow and refused to play then i couldnt care less.. roman will just sign a 30 mill cheque and bring in someone else. simple

He's not the first player to refuse to play for a club (Berbatwat also from the bench and Ratboy in the dressingroom spring to mind).

The difference here is City have the cash in bank to let him rot. I think they should refuse to sell him. He'll go AWOL but will not be able to play for anyone else while his 3 year contract runs by which time his career will be over.

How can any club deserve this? They pay Tevez's wages, he needs to show Man City and Mancini some respect.

Mata+Torres

As a Chelsea fan, you couldn't possibly understand.

i agree he is acting like a , that doesnt mean i feel sorry for city though.

in january they can go out and buy literally anyone they want, apart from a few barca players and probably cristiano ronaldo

Man City deserve respect from their own players. Any club does, regardless of how much money they spend.

I feel sorry for City. They've spent so much money and effort on Tevez in the last few years, but what has he done? Handed in a few transfer requests and now refused to play! He hasn't even bothered to learn the language

how about all the goals he banged in over the last two years.

sorry but you being a chelsea fan means that i just cant take you seriously on this issue.

you are just as bad of city and have lost touch of the reality of football, where clubs have such things as wage structures, and cant break the bank to get players.

Lexington,

Looking at your profile, you are an arsenal fan, correct?

Seeing as your club was the first to benefit all those years ago from outside investment into football, I don't think you can have a go at Chelsea or us - you wouldn't even be in the top division if it wasn't for money. Added to that, the money that you attracted Bergkamp over here for, you were the first to do it, you hypocrite.

Secondly, and this is an overlooked part of the new UEFA regulations coming in, please tell me what you think is more ethically wrong - paying over the odds for a player, or signing them from clubs just before they turn 16 so you don't have to play the club full compensation? Then have a look at what the clubs think that you have done that to numerous times over the last decade. Which of those two different ways allows money to saturate elsewhere into football, and which just stays at your own club?

Or lets put our model of outside investment against Arsenals in the real world rather than football. Which of these two is worse - paying overprice for a product or stealing youngsters? As far as I'm aware, only one of them carries a prison sentence.

So, effectively, get off your high horse and stop sprouting gobshite when your club has just as much wrong with it as any other. Enjoy your high ticket prices, nice to see a club passing their financial stability on to their fans...

I know City can afford a replacement. That's not the issue I'm talking about. What I'm angry about is that Tevez has shown no respect to Man City by doing this, despite all that city have done for him. Surely you can agree with this?
