Football is generally scheidt now compared to back in the day (unless you're one of the bams who believe in sky and tge epl).

One of the worst changes relates to players looking for transfers or new contracts. They used to really up their game for a time and the fans got the benefit.

Now they down tools, play scheidt or just dont turn up at all.

And it works.

I always find the forum funny after a bad result. Everyone becomes an expert manager. Decisions that should have been made, players that should have played, subs that should be brought on, the way the manager sat or walked or shuffled a board. Everyone would have done it better

Nonsense. Elhamed is a player everyone wanted to play more. Needed a striker up top - Christie scored. Need Ntcham playing more - done.

Now it's all should have done this instead. Have you ever thought that maybe, just maybe we didn't play well as a team? First 20 minutes they ran all over us. Rest of the game we controlled it and got hit with a launch up the pitch a la Tony Watt

Agree with this. Lennon made mistakes possibly with the line up (it's impossible to say that changing the team and playing Klimala would definitely have won us the game), I think he made a mistake not using subs earlier than he did, and then there's the mistakes that were made all over the pitch last night with the chances we missed and the goals we lost.

70% possession and 28 shots at goal suggest that there wasn't much wrong with the tactics, and watching the game we were comfortable for the vast majority of it.

I've thought since the start of the season that there's been a spark missing - we just seem flat. Our defence looks dodgy, and our attack seems toothless at times - certainly when there's a fair challenge put in front of us.

We shouldn't be losing these games at home though.

Only saw the goals he wasn’t great at the second but I couldn’t judge him on a goal

Yeah he was poor on that one but it’s his lack of presence in comparison that I’ve found noticeable. I’m not saying this guy is bad, too early for that but he’s not been able to fill the Forster sized hole

Ok - put it that way then yes - a missed opportunity but in the bigger picture it should be treated like a loss.

Forster was a huge player for us. Nobody in our budget was really going to easily replace him.

Can’t blame the keeper for last night. In fact it’s nearly impossible to judge him at all cos he’s had so little to do. Both goals major defensive errors.

Any decent business wouldn’t even contemplate viewing it that way.

If anything it would cement the notion that we were right not to risk things and spend more so in a way it’s almost self rewarding.
