Should be an interesting game, especially with regard to how Leeds set up. If they try to play their own game like they did in the championship Liverpool will absolutely batter them.

Top 10!

I'll be amazed if we get anything from Anfield. So many others have tried over the last three years.

There's always a chance, but the gulf in class (and expense!) of the Liverpool team to ours will probably be too much for us at this stage after a broken few weeks of pre-season and new signings to bed in.

If we can give them a game over the 90 I'll take that to the bank. Whatever the result is, I'll not be looking at that as defining our season.

1-2 Leeds

Honestly, you guys are so difficult to predict for this season. Probably the hardest of all the teams in the division. Could finish 7th, could be relegated, or anything in between. Best prediction I could make is third quarter somewhere - 11th to 15th. Which I’m guessing you’d be happy with. But I don’t see much strength outside the top 6 so above that is reachable with a fair wind.

All winning runs have to come to an end, and a lot of time its those that have no chance that do it!..

Funny the way some give Leeds no chance, because the so called experts around the Premier league,(people that get paid to say dumb ass things!)said that Leeds would cause a lot of problems in the Premiership!..

I ain't saying we're going to do anything against Liverpool, but I will say bring us down at your own peril!..

For those saying the Premier league is so much better than the Championship, maybe it is, with the balls money and the over paid people running around it, it should be, but, some Championship clubs are better then some think and there just might be a few hot asses running around not knowing what to say come the end of season!..

Bring it on, we'll play our game, you play yours!..

Good point about championship and premier league.... really don’t think there’s much difference between top half of championship to bottom half of premier league other than financials

Ps, don’t see us beating Liverpool. Internationals feked us right up.... they have players like mane salah firmino etc who haven’t gone on international duty. We’ve had 8 first team players on internationals and 2 haven’t even trained yet. otherwise think we’d have surprised a few people

Hope we will have a decent season. If we finish in the middle - 10th - I would consider it a good first season. As long as we don’t do a Norwich and go straight back down I’ll be happpy.

Laugh like a dogs bone if all 3 promoted teams finished mid table or even top half!..

This is kind of my thinking to be honest, i just dont know.

One of the biggest problems our team could face is a prolonged bad run, we have spent two years under bielsa winning far more games than we lose and that build confidence nd momentum.

Thats going to be much harder to maintain this year and how are the players (and the manager) going to react to a relegation battle if it comes to it.

for me id go mid table, id be delighted with top half.

however i think for anything other that 11-15 we need soe more signings

The bookies have us finishing 7th - 9th.

Personally id take 17th with the opportunity of another close season to build.

Very hard to predict. The top 9 should be Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Leicester, Wolves and Everton (in no particular order)

The other 11 are all in a relegation battle.

I think we will finish somewhere between 10th and 20th so if i was pushed for a placing id have to go in the middle of that bunch and say

15th!

West Brom, Fulham, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Brighton, Burnley, West Ham, Sheffield Utd, Southampton, plenty of teams to take points off.

Got a feeling Sheff Utd wont do well this season. They've lost Henderson who won them points.

I thonk we are still a few short. A spare Cb, AM and probably a GK. I wouldn't trust Casilla and Meslier is unproven. I worry thats an area that could cost us points

thats pretty good for no particular order. i might put chelsea ahead of arsenal though. after that its a log jam.

Afridi, Germany, Leeds Fan, don't underestimate Bielsa. He has a cast iron will to win. He has just transformed a bunch of journeymen into a formidable, winning outfit. He has restored purpose, confidence and integrity in our club. He has a couple of years at most to prove himself at the highest level, so he's not going to waste time. While Pep and Klopp and Jose bask in their ivory towers, Bielsa stays on task in a flat above a shop in Wetherby so he can walk to the training ground. As Angus says, we are not here to d*ck around with the bottom 16.

Bielsa ringing, point out to me where I've underestimated Bielsa, I'd love to know where so I can correct myself!..

I have every confidence in Bielsa, but I know that the Premiership is a different animal to the Championship.

Our team is skilful and hard-working, but some teams have 10 Pablos on the pitch and it will take some years of careful spending and development to get us up to that level, all the time whilst the top 6 clubs continue to buy up all the best players.

Despite that I've bet on us winning the Premiership as well as a bet on a top 6 finish because it's not inconceivable that MB will perform a minor miracle with our team, but with my realistic head on it's going to be tough going.

Whatever position Leeds United finish in this coming season, I will have nothing but admiration and appreciation for the job Bielsa has done in turning our club around and putting so many things right that were a complete mess.

I have the utmost faith in him and his tactics. I just worry about how our squad will compete against established Prem squads.

Liverpool is a free swing for us. Nobody expects us to even score. It's the hardest game in club football bar Bayern.

Can we finish above Spurs please?

I had a bet with my Spurs ST holder neighbour about five years ago (after a few beers) that we would win the PL before them. I’d love it if we finish above them and he starts to wet himself.

Plus Jose is a prat!

really difficult one to predict this.

I'd take 17th now, but I know that I'd be disapointed if we did.

I'm expecting / hoping players like Costa to really come on this year.. he's got his first seson under his belt.. good continuity to go into another season with Beila and the same ish team around him. think the improvement upwards curve for the Costa's of our squad will be the diffrence between 17th and mid table.

Also, Paveda an interesting one..

happy with the signings so far and happy with squad / first team... going to predict 10th

My view exactly. The only drawback I see is the reputation that precedes you, which will probably preclude any complacency on Liverpool's part.

All things considered, merely making it a contest ought to be taken as a positive sign for the rest of the season.

Really hoping you do well this season, Bielsa is such a character.
