Erm, I’m pretty certain breaking international law DOES matter, and we’re about to find out just how much.

This has to be the dumbest move by the Brexit G00n’s so far, and that’s saying something!

You certain about that?

They are not even sure if they’re prepared to accept the safety standard on our food imports yet.

It's the perfect counter move. Boris wants to pretend he's willing to break the law to force their hand so the EU pretend they will apply sanctions.

We all know the UK Government is just looking for any excuse so they can to walk away and blame the EU for being too rigid.

It's all so pointless and predictable. An utter shambles.

Would be my guess, its all just words now. Lets see when the chips are down. I predict money will do the talking everything else is second fiddle as is usually the case.

Not that i agree with any of it just how it is always has been.

Right wing press. More promises (lies) about brexit. That’s how. Irrespective of political views this lot are the worst government I’ve had in my lifetime.

This is only the start, the behavior of some citizens in lockdown shows we are in big danger of being in a dictatorship.

What a mess.

A facking mess.

There needs to be a general election when COVID is solved, and parties can base their manifestos entirely on managing the fallout from Brexit and the disaster that COVID has left our economy in.

That (Times) headline is a bit misleading. The EU haven't threatened 'trade sanctions.'

But as the UK would be (if Bill becomes law) in violation of the Withdrawal Agreement and international law, there are a number of (dispute settlement) provisions in the WA which the EU can rely on.

The government's narrative that the Internal Market Bill seeks to protect the Good Friday Agreement is utter bollox. It does the complete opposite as many regulatory checks would move from the Irish Sea to the North South land border.

Which the NI protocol was designed to avoid.

It does, but the tories would need to call it and why would they when they have a huge majority and can do what they want.

I am so ashamed that we voted this charlatan into power.

Exactly this!

No nation can take us at our word now.

The damage this government has done is immeasurable and will take an awful long time to recover from.

Why are we surprised?

Boris has broken his word all his life and he discards his word in the same way that he discards his baasstard children.

Shameful behaviour from a British Prime Minister.

Infighting might be enough.

I will be more ashamed if they get in again, after this.

I can understand why it happened with the Brexit deal and Corbyn but now we know what we know, I’ll be astonished if they survive.

I imagine Rishi Sunak will be made PM strategically to give them a fighting chance. He's the only one who's reputation has largely remained.
