I'm delighted we won, i'm sure I'll have a scathing post mortem of Ole's tactics later

Including the millions of times we left the right hand side explosed

but for now, you gotta love a last minute win

feck Maupay and his cheeky pen, arrogant ****

Na honestly, that performance was tragic. Defense is all over the place. Hard to enjoy that.

Nice feeling now then you remember we have the same players(defenders)for our next game so we'll see more the same

Second half was better than the first, but we were still second to every second ball, walked past by their players, passing was sloppy, feet were slow, forwards on their backsides half the game.

We’ll get there, but we need to make ten changes midweek and try to get the first XI back up to speed.

Because they looked like they’d run a marathon before kickoff.

What makes you think we'll get there with this group of players?

Not a chance. I’d rest literally everybody midweek.

Midfield has no balance. With liability CB’s you need more steel and a ball winner in the midfield. Shaw should worry more about running a solid shift on the weekend than his mouth off in the press during the week. It all shows this team has zero coaching IP and that’s the biggest weakness

Because they were the best team in the league after lockdown.

We need reinforcements in several areas, but we’ve got a good base to work from.

God, people’s memories are short.

Agree OP - that was very concerning.

Very slow and unimaginative, in front of a weak defence.

Early days though.

Ole is a really average manager at best. I think any prem manager wouldn’t do any worse with your squad, if ole was at someone like Southampton he’d get them relegated. Crazy Man U are still sticking with him, surely could easily get a much better manager than him

Oh right so because we won a few games over a couple of months that means this defence will be fine? Fair enough.

Defensively the manager needs to be asking himself why AWB is out of position on every single cross that came in from the right.

My guess is the lack of faith in Lindelof.

Yup he is their biggest weakness. At a disadvantage before the whistle blows

I don’t think we played as bad as we did today when we kept losing at the end of Ole’s interim phase. Was like watching Chelsea 2012.

You are probably wrong. Third and the semis were better than an average manager would have got last year

Easy to play well with the pressure off and expectations are low.

Bruno can only do so much.

Maguire is abysmal. Utterly baffling that he's in the position he's in. Captain as well😵🥴. Shocking player.

There literally no width in this team. We got full back who can’t attack, No natural wingers. So everything try to be done through the middle. So easy to defend against.

Then why is he playing Lindelof every game? Everyone was expecting Bailly to start today.

It was a whole lot better than average, in fact it was better than every team except City and Liverpool. If we were average what were Chelsea and Spurs?
