He can’t do the basics, that’s a huge issue for him.
He certainly hasn’t turned out to be the player we hoped he would be.
I don't know what people see in Pogba that I don't.
He is clearly technically gifted but is key contributions in games are all too few and far between for a player in his position and of his value.
He was visibly frustrated leading up to his substitution which probably could and should have been done earlier.
We really should be playing 4-3-3 with Bruno & VdB ahead of Matic. It would provide more energy and the one & two touch link up plus the work rate of Donny & Bruno could be really good to watch.
If and when Pogba is fit, you’d then be bringing him in for one of Bruno or VdB in his best position. It seems a no brainer but Ole seems quite intent on sticking to his 4-2-3-1 formation.
The problem with playing the same way each week is that a) it’s exposing some of the issue with the playing personnel and b) opposition managers know exactly how we’ll set up. There’s a risk of things becoming stale, if it hasn’t already.
I think we either play Pogba higher up the pitch, or we just don't bother.
He's absolutely awful when he plays further back, almost rendering him useless!

I would 100% agree with that. I think it is beginning to show that Bruno and Pogba don't work as a pair. Pogbas positional sense defensively is atrocious. Look at the first time Trossard hit the post. He wandered over to the right where there were already 2 or 3 united players and left Trossard completely free on thr edge of the box. He really is shocking without the ball
Watching him yesterday he just seems to go through the motions when he is defending. He just kind of does enough to make it look like he is trying. But rarely does he bust a gut to get back. He doesn't pressure the ball enough and force the opposition into mistakes I'd like to see Matic sitting with Bruno and VDB ahead of him. That front 5 would put pressure on the ball and we would be able to pin teams back for spells in the game. You can't do that when you have Pogba on the pitch, jogging about and leaving passing lines open. Definitely time to drop him.
Pogba has everything talent wise. A player Utd or any club should be built around but
He doesn't apply himself like he should, lazy and too easy at hiding.
He doesn't lead or inspire his teammates either by his character or on his performances like a Keane or Gerrard.
He's the ultimate social media footballer and not in a good way. In 20 years when his career is done people will just remember a guy with alot of different haircuts despite winning silverware.
I’d actually play on Wednesday and unless he puts in a stormer I’d bench him for the weekend.

The thing is though he has had great games in that position especially in Jose’s 2nd season.
He was never perfect but he hasn’t ever really looked right since returning from injury.
He’s a bone idle baastard and a total liability
I like him 😊
Agree with the OP but can't see it happening. Only at Utd can you play badly and be guaranteed a starting position, Pogba sadly is one of the undropabbles, probably contractually obligated.

You contradicted yourself a bit here.
'everything talent wise'
'team should be built around him'
'doesnt apply himself, lazy, goes hiding'
Pogbas talent is played up massively by our fans. Yeah he's a bit skillful but his shooting ability is fking terrible.
His shooting was better when he was like 16-17 years old, constant long range bangers yet every shot he has these days are tame rubbish efforts.
I saw the ref running past him yesterday when Brighton were on the break. Sums him up perfectly.
Pogba has so much ability but he doesnt have the work ethic to control the games the way he could if he applied himself.

That maybe the case however look at the 4 best managers in the Premier league over the last 20 years. SAF, Jose, Pep and Klopp. For me not one of them would have him in their team. That is pretty damning

Not after they fell out but he’s still better than any Spurs midfielder.
There's a chance that we might move back to a 3-5-2 during those tough games, so we might see both Pogba and Beakers on the bench, with Fred and Matic behind Bruno.
Let's not forget that Pogba played a big part in us getting 3rd though... When fit and in form, he's a great player to have. But he is clearly not fit or in form, so letting him get a bit of rest is no bad thing.

Not sure if it’s rest he needs or match practice.
His one good game in five seem to overshadow the four poor one's in many peoples eyes. Talent AF but lazy AF too.
