international football seems like a mental idea right now.

To be fair you appear to think hanging out your washing is risky.

No criticism. Life's rich tapestry. Room for the full gamut of views on here.

there is no good in all this, just what there is.

as i said, physical and mental health come first, they are top of the list in what we should focus on opening first.

pubs are not good for mental health and anyone who thinks they are is kidding themselves

"but u get to socialise!"

you do, and then u go home phished, alone with your thoughts and in a more suggestible state of mind.

being able to visit family is next on the list of things we NEED imo but there are people who will of course see it differently, i just hate how people are making out they are scared for bartenders jobs, cut the schite naw ur no.

I am scared for bartenders jobs not just the jobs but the fookin ghostowns that many places will become because we killed the economy to save something that couldn’t be saved
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We are social animals. Sharing food and drink is and has always been the most effective way of socialising. If the industry collapses, there will indeed be many ghost towns

i'm a shade more cautious about it, at the start of lockdown my baby had bronchilitis and was burning up regularly and coughing all night. The thought of her catching this scared me, even though it isnt nearly as deadly for kids.

But it got me thinking how ppl who are at risk must feel and imo we should do what we can to help them, it's not ideal and nobody likes it but it's the best option for now.

The risk is that the virus spreads exponentially and wipes out several more thousand people and incapacitates many more through long Covid. We don't know what the long term costs to the NHS will be, nor the economy if thousands are unable to work.

I think we DO know these things pretty accurately? What we don't know is what to do about it!

Last time I was in a pub was the 22nd of February. When they have been open I was of the mind that just because they were open it didn't mean I had to go. Likewise when non essential retail reopened I was of the same opinion.

I'm not saying that was right and others were wrong but I do think we all need to take some personal responsibility, even if you are not scared of the virus think of what the consequences of some of your actions could have on others.

Wear a mask when required, wash your hands regularly, keep your distance from others and reduce your social contacts. It is literally in our own hands and if want to go back to some sort of normality pre vaccine stick to what we know to be effective.

i haven't been to a pub, my priority is time with kiddos but i get that people have different lives and having worked should now get to enjoy it.

the problem is people, give an inch and they take a mile and when there is further restrictions as a result of this people point the finger at the government.

many of whom are the same ppl not following guidance.
