Bigger flop: Pogba or Ozil?

Liverpool fans always explode when Keita is mentioned atleast most Utd and arsenal fans admit the incredible disappearing pogba and captain bugeye haven’t lived up to expectations.

Luckily keita is where Ozil was 5 years ago. No one that watches him when he plays is unhappy with him and we'll see how it pans out by the time he's approaching his 30s. All the big clubs have flops so Liverpool must have one too.

As for the others on your list, there's just no arguing with facts

If Keita plays crap then he'll be called a flop. We're not going to call him a flop when he's playing well. That would be stupid.

Can’t say I’ve seen one credible argument supplementing why Keita has been good.

“He wins trophies” so did Anderson and Bosingwa - so what?
“He has a high pass accuracy” - so did Britton.

Naah, let's just accept it, even though it's nonsense.

Pogba and Ozil need company when riding the flop train and Keita getting hyped up to fulfil the role.

Seeing as nobody has given these reasons then it explains why you haven't seen it.

Also, the question is whether Keita is a flop, not whether he's been good. There's a difference. So you're looking for the wrong thing and that explains why you haven't seen it too.

What we haven't seen is a credible argument that Keita is a flop to be mentioned in the same sentence as #Flopback and Flopzilla. No doubt.

The amount of people from London literally making things up that Liverpool fans have said on here is weird. It's really us chock full of beIlends isn't it.

One is left to wonder whether or not, or not or whether, we're reading the same thread.

I don't think you know what paraphrasing is mate. You haven't paraphrased anything.

I would say a player who has managed 60+mins in the PL only 26 times but is commencing his third season for the club is definitely an indication of flopping

Keita is definitely a flop. A flop is surely a player that fails in a big way to live up to expectations?

For instance, if a free transfer youngster played to the level of Pogba at United or Ozil at Arsenal you wouldn't call them a flop. In fact you'd probably call them a great signing (at least until Ozil went on strike).

Keita came with big hype, it was a long, drawn out and expensive transfer. To pretend he hasn't failed to live up to the hype seems ridiculous. You can argue his performances haven't been awful, or that he's even been decent but he's still flopped badly given what you'd expect from a transfer like that.

We don't have to play half fit players mate. He's started every league game this season and when he's good, he's BERY good.

I get that it's pretty much the only thing oppo fans can have a pop at with regards to Liverpool but it all seems a bit stupid to me. As if half you lit watch us every grand anyway. Bunch of MOTD geeks looking at a spreadsheet is more likely.

In that case there's a string of bigger flops at Spurs like Lamela.

posted on 16/10/20

I don't give a fvck about Lamela, Pogba or Ozil.

I suppose clmparitively to the vast majority of our excellent signings Keita has underwhelmed, it's all relative, but let's not pretend he's Sanchez (any of them).

Like if that's the only stick they can beat us with it's pretty lame.

Interesting thread this, in spite of the insult flinging from the usual suspects.

Personally I don't have any of the three players as a flop.

Ozil did okay until the falling out, Pogba has done okay, Keita doing okay... none of them currently looking to be worth the money the club have spent on them but aside from Ozil's recent year or two, none of them a complete disaster either.

I think discussing 'flops' conjures up a debate about how well they've played and so the current situation at Arsenal is something a bit different. I think even Arteta would accept Ozil is talented, and there are other reasons why he's being kept away from the squad.

pogba, ozil had some very good seasons, even if he doesnt exist now
