Thats what I mean that the UK is intent of destructing itself.

So, you are for centralisation? Or are you for decentralised decision making?
why do they call it ireland when it isnt even an ireland its attached to the uk it has a uk border how can it be an ireland they cant have borders just the sea
I don't feel British to be honest but feel very Welsh. It's probably easier to feel British if you're English as it's pretty much interchangable IMO.
----
I have never classed myself as British to be fair.
If somebody calls me British, I'll tell them I am English.
Fk the Scots and the Welsh, unless they're playing for United of course or their name is Sir Alex Ferguson
I don't ever support Andy Murray either. He's a right t0sser.

What's wrong with supporting Murray? It's not a national side but an individual.
I like Federer, like Murray, like Nadal. Not for their nationality but in their prime they were great to watch
For me, Andy Murray is Scottish when he wins and British when he loses.

I've nothing against any nationality though. That's not what my OP was about. It was more to do with discussing the right of the nations of the UK (including England) to become independent.

But a great player none the less
England would be proud to adopt him as an honorary Scottish Englishman
Saw someone mention a United Ireland.
I have to say I never thought I'd see it within my lifetime (I'm 46), but I definitely reckon there will be a vote within the next decade.
My gut feeling is a it won't pass and I do wonder how our already overstressed public services would cope with the influx of an additional 1 million citizens.
On Wales and scotland I believe both should have the right to make the choice as to whether they want independence or not (,I am aware scotland have already once rejected this but I think the outcome would be different second time around)
It's probably easier to feel British if you're English as it's pretty much interchangable IMO.

Not at all Diallo, the little Englanders are probably more determined to be English over British that the Scots and the Welsh are. And they are not bluffing like you guys are.
There is a belief in England on the Right that England could make it as an independent nation, alone. Which has a lot more truth in it that Wales and Scotland's chances are.
Independence for Scotland and wales would be an absolute disaster for you guys, especially outside the EU. But you know that anyway. And the English Right are prepared to chuck you under the bus, probably lead by Boris and Farage. They will keep poking you until you break.
You really don't want, what you wish for.
OP
Only a matter of time before the whole of the British Isles breaks up. Probably in the next 10 years, England will be on it`s own paddling up the creek without a paddle. I don`t like Nationalism at all, but the present Government are certainly driving every devolved Country towards it.

I haven't read through all of the comments yet, but my position echoes that of 52. I think the world works better together and I preferred Scotland to remain in the union and the UK to remain in the European Union. My personal preference woild be for Wales to remain in the UK but to maybe continue reviewing devolution and self-governance as a region.
I would also like Wales to receive some more recognition in official areas like the flag and royal seal. Wakes currently falls under "England and Wales" and so has no distinct recognition in the Union flag or any other official symbols of the UK.
