Whilst the press had it in for JC from the outset, the EHRC was highly critical of his office's handling of anti-semitism.

They found 23 instances of "inappropriate involvement" by JC's office. Rather than accept the independent findings, JC dismissed/downplayed them.

As I said theres obviously been a break down in communication in the handling of claims of antisemitism in the party and it's not on but I'm yet to see the investigation into the blatant Islamaphobia in the Tory party that Warsi has been calling out for years

It's no secret Johnson is incompetent, however his inability to govern does not absolve Corbyn of his failings.

Had he been more decisive, and offered realistic opposition to the Toriies, rather than miss open goal after open goal presented to him by the government, Labour might have fared better at the last GE.

Aye when you consider the fact that almost all of our domestic media is owned by a handful of right wing, tax evading billionaires.. It's no wonder the gullible in our society have been led like sheep to right wing tropes.

And the very small minority of media outlets who aren't under their control have a mountain to climb. It's much easier to blame an immigrant or benefit scrounger than it is to explain the intricacies of tax evasion, how our current capitalist structure is set up to favour the richest 5-10%, how corporations and the decimation of the Unions had led to wage suppression etc

Had he been more decisive, and offered realistic opposition to the Toriies, rather than miss open goal after open goal presented to him by the government, Labour might have fared better at the last GE.


If people in the media were doing their jobs properly they would be holding the actual government to account rather than the people trying to get in to power

I don't know why there isn't more outcry over media ownership as well. They hide behind the concept of capitalism but media ownership and therefore control being vested in the hands of a few is historically known to be a harmful recipe. Should have never been allowed tbh IMO.

As said by a couple of posters, a shame that we've been left with these two candidates . Could have had e.g. Tulsi Gabbard [ who i voted for] , or Bill Weld [ very good former Governor of my state ] .Too many voters sit on their behinds during primary voting and leave the decision to the yahoos on the extremes, only themselves to blame .

I think a lot of undecided (sometimes uneducated) vote because of how things are reported in the likes of the Daily Mail and The Sun

They were driven by a mix of 'we hate foreigners, lets get brexit done' and Corbyn hates everything about our country that was reported in the media
