Mostly true - there was two viable structures in the US - one the MLS socialist model with franchises, bonds and no relegation and the other NASL which was the free for all Euro model with unlimited investment and relegation intents but squeezed out by the governing body USSF in favour of USL leagues and NISA.

Even now it is hard to get the head around the system, the regular changes and the affiliations between clubs, leagues and governing organisations. It seems mired in politics and finance inevitably but the socialist model is definitely winning and the sport is growing massively.

Perhaps, they should say authoritarian communism as seen in USSR, rather than socialist.

Personally, I am left wing economically and think some socialist ideas are grand.

Most successful nations are capitalist with some social demcracy thrown in, rather than USSR or Cuba or Venezuela style "socialism".

Biden will win by a landslide. Said this yesterday and completely stand by it It is based on sound reasoning by highly respected US election specialist Clark Cockmeister.

There are record number of voters already. Highest turnout in a century. The understanding of Clark Cockmeister Esq is that the voters 4 years ago were very apathetic to either Clinton or Trump so many di not bother to vote.

This time they understand that by not voting they are effectively giving Trump the nod. Hence the record turn out is to vote for Biden. Trump will maintain his base support but will not have gained any new voters over the past 4 years.

Winner needs 270 seats. I predicted Biden to clear 350.

We all know that politics is heavily influenced to the point of being controlled by billionaires who hold all of their wealth offshore. Just need to look at the increasing disparity in wealth over the past few decades since deregulation has become the go-to for most western governments. It's unsustainable and is a direct cause of many of the societal issues we see today.

The fact that banking hasn't changed one bit since 2007 is further proof that we live in parallel worlds/societies. The rich are unnaccoubtable and the poor pick up the tab.

it's not if you look at college players, paid nothing while people earn millions off them.

They get an education with no debt at the end and if they are good enough a professional contract with a team or league.

If not they have their degree and no debt to show for it.
