Spot on.
I don't feel massively confident about his long term success but to not give him the best part of this season is madness.
If Ole isn't going to win us a League or European Cup, what is the point in waiting to replace him?
I totally agree, I’d be delighted if they extended his contract..... and I’m not wumming, I genuinely mean it
with the players he inherited and the accompanying mess at the club, Ole has succeeded in stage one, which was to steady the ship.
Phase 2 is still ongoing which is to get rid of the substantial deadwood. Still more players to ship out. Some are unsellable under their contracts. And slowly bring in his own kind of players in. which whilst he is trying to do, Ed bottling it this summer and going back to his old ways has set Ole back a window.
Remarkably we actually have CL football this season which must have been a complete bonus for the owners.
Id give Ole 8/10 so far.

Beat Pep the magnificent 3 times last season and currently above him in table. What do City do? Give him a new deal. Hahahahaha
Ole certainly doesn't deserve a new contract but nor does he deserve the sack. Let's see in May where we are.
City are in a bit of a mess. Too many key players either now gone or close to the end of careers. Days in the sun are over. Sadly it's the dippers that have taken over.
SE85 I wouldn't rise to it. Of course he is wumming you.

RDD is another one I would ignore.
It is a head scratcher for sure. I was so sure they were gonna sack him soon, but i dunno now. I think this time, they will let him see out his contract.. just over a year to go.
Problem for me is the lethargic displays.
Its becoming a normal thing to expect. It shouldn't be happening... Then they'll up their performance only to let themselves down again.
Ole's comments about West Brom shouldn't come out of a UTD managers mouth.
How we let Arsenal dominate us at Home and that Instanbul game still irks me.
Would love nothing more to see him succeed, but it's looking more like he can only get so far in terms of inspiration.

Its not the managers job to inspire the players to be good.
Certainly not international players who purport to play for Man United, anyway
My issues with Ole are he can’t see simple things that he does wrong.
He saw that we were very flat on Saturday but couldn’t see why.
You are not going to get an energetic performance when you field an eleven with the two slowest players in the Premiership.

This is true.
He should be replaced with someone better even if we get top four (though it seems unlikely we’ll do that anyway).

I think Greenwood would be starting over Mata but he's having a tough time since the sad passing of his friend.
He's probably playing with 2 DM's as a reaction to the Spurs game. When you concede 6 you have to tighten up and in fairness we have since looked far more secure.
I still think he can turn it around again like last season. Most of our players have barely got going yet and we are still right up there. Martial will start scoring soon and I'm sure we will see more of Telles, Cavani and Donny.
If he fails to get top 4 in May then it's fair enough. Until then he deserves the chance to either succeed or fail. He's earned the right.

Another thing he can’t see is when to make a change to the benefit of our play when we are playing poorly. He waits far too long.

However if Ole keeps losing home games especially, to the point top 4 becomes a dream, then I wouldn't blame Ed going after him earlier in the season.

I don't see how Ole gets praise for getting rid of the deadwood when we still have Rojo, Jones, Romero, Lingard and Mata in the squad.

Can't see United pulling up any trees in the league this season. As likely to finish outside the top 7 as they are in the top 4 imo based off the season so far.
Very tough CL group is giving it some credit as well. PSG are obviously a top side, but Leipzig aren't anywhere near as strong as last season and Basaksehir are poor as well. Should be going through if you ask me.

A bit of a stretch to use a second leg game of a tie you lost, that's a trick you'd usually expect to come from North London....
Like I said..... Let's judge him in 6 months time. If he gets top 4 again then he deserves another crack at a summer window and another season for me.
If he doesn't he will probably lose his job anyway.
Woodward still the big issue too. He's the one who need to be fired.
