is pope back?

Yep although it'll be interesting to see whether he gets back in or whether we stick with Lawrence.
Can we hit 80 odd off remaining overs overs

Pff. I think we can all agree I have no issues with bias against Bairstow, so I should definitely be listened to since I'm definitely giving a balanced, objective, fact-based view

Down to Butler now, can he save us
Dan the man with a plan. He's got this.
Fair to say Root has been better in the first innings (average 207) than the second (average 6) in this series
Collapse incoming... 🙄
77 needed, 7 wickets remaining.
Surely...
77 to win with 7 wickets in hand always looks lovely and in poll position but you know if you lose a few quick wickets it could get ugly.

Class stat
Joe Root scored 200 runs off 247 balls off the bowling of Lasith Embuldeniya.
It is only the fifth time a batsman has scored 200 runs off a specific bowler in a season, and only the second time they have done so without getting out to that bowler. The previous occasion was Rahul Dravid off Stuart MacGill in Australia in 2003-04.
Should have stuck money on SL at 10/1, odds are down to 9/4 now. England were 1/25, now 1/3...
Who would have thought Sibley would be the one keeping things together at the other end
164 is not an easy fourth-innings chase in Asia. I know we're making hard work of it, but it's not like we were chasing 50.
