Awful performance and result and it comes from Gerrard naively over-rotating the squad. If it was a league game St Mirren would maybe have played for a draw but they were always gong to push forward more in a cup game. Bassey is alright to bring on when we're leading in a league game to give Barasic a rest, but he's made a few mistakes defensively before and was always good for a big mistake last night. Zungu isn't up to speed tactically either and shouldn't have started. Hopefully that wake up can focuses the players not to bottle it in the league.

Undoubtedly an off day for too many, Gerrard's team selection is also to blame because he rotated too many.
Not saying i disagreed with it at the time but in the end it cost us.
We put the pressure right back on ourselves in the league as well by showing this team still have the bottling spirit. Fail to win at the weekend and due to the magnitude of both games we're in a mini crisis.

Meh, minor blip but in a pretty meaningful game.
I might be over reacting but I think it shows that Rangers depth is improved but their is possibly still a lack of game changers.
Move on and get win on Saturday and I'll be over it.

It really is a joke though - anyone that gets seriously offended by that shouldnt be watching football.
Zungu was a waste of a jersey last night. Happy he’s only on loan.

Given that its our first defeat in 28 or so games I think it is a bit early to say we are no different from last year.
We did well to get back level and the only real disappointment for me was we didnt see the game out.
There will be plenty of games where we dont play at our top level. Not team who ever won a league has played at a 8/10 or above level for forty games.
But being unable to defend not one but TWO corners at the death is the real disappointment.
Fair play to St Mirren - they were probably the best organised team we have played this season. Good luck to them

We cracked at the first sign of being favourites to win something (again). Its the same issues as last season rearing their head once again.
Aye I get that, squad and performances are obviously better.
But that won’t matter if we end the season without any trophies.

I certainly wont be giving up on the league or scottish cup because St Mirren pulled an injury time winner out the bag.
I think there has been enough on display this season to warrant a sense of perspective and a wee bit of optimism at least.

Optimism is all well and good, but when the team bottle it time and time again, then you should be asking questions and not just brushing it off.
