Aye I get that, squad and performances are obviously better.

But that won’t matter if we end the season without any trophies.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I certainly wont be giving up on the league or scottish cup because St Mirren pulled an injury time winner out the bag.

I think there has been enough on display this season to warrant a sense of perspective and a wee bit of optimism at least.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Who is giving up?

Optimism is all well and good, but when the team bottle it time and time again, then you should be asking questions and not just brushing it off.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Maybe I just dont take the view that every time Rangers lose or drop points they 'bottle it'.

St Mirren were well organised last night and got the breaks at the right time.

The pen in the first half was a nothing challenge and a bit of naivety from Bassey.

I think the squad is better this season and individual players have improved this season. And I think we will win more points than we did last season.

Given that Celtic have dropped way more points than us relative to this point last season it gives us a great chance of winning the title.

Last night doesn't change that for me.

You might not think we bottle but clear as day we struggle in cups when it matters. Bossed Celtic in the cup lose, lost in the cup to Hearts, then lost to St Mirren last night. 3 games we should be winning, call it whatever you want it’s the same story.

I read we’re only 3 points better off than last year. Two losses like last night in the league and Celtic are on us.

There’s going to be a lot of games over the next few weeks. Could easily change.

Very naive to think otherwise.

Bossing Celtic in the cup final doesn’t equate to bottling it. Not one bit. Ridiculous to say otherwise.

It’s at times like this I’m glad there’s no fans allowed in the games if this is the reaction to one loss in December, considering how we’ve played and who we’ve played in all competitions.

Also in the OP to write off Zungu when he’s hardly had time to settle is bonkers.

Of course things could change. Very easily.

But for me losing a scrappy last minute goal in one game against St Mirren is far from proof that we are going to bottle the league.

I have always had more success approaching anything with a positive attitude in life. Maybe in some peoples eyes that is naive.

After 28 games or so we have lost one. And none in the league.

To look at that record and label that team serial bottlers at this stage is jumping the gun to say the least IMO.

Rangers start to the season is no different than any other domestically.

Pumped out the Betfred cup and a good start in the league.

The bottlers tag is rightfully called into the argument when you’re on a streak of knocked out of 7 trophies in a row.

Not won a major trophy for 10 years now.

I’ll always back the team and players, always have. Been calling out daft fans that abused Tav and Goldson for years. Always backed Gerrard too.

But if you think fans shouldn’t voice when they’re unhappy, and that it’s wrong to be unhappy after last night, then no idea how you cope as a Rangers fan.

Also on Zungu just my opinion, could see a player in Barisic when he started poorly, but I don’t see one in Zungu. He tries playing same diaphanous Goldson does, but they were no good. And positionally didn’t think he was in the right place. Maybe he needs time to settle, but I’d rather he was bottom of the Cm choices. And would rather see Hagi at Cm over him too.

His first minute in a Rangers strip went viral after he started pinging passes about. To say no he shouldn't start a game is mental. He signed two months ago and his first two weeks were spent in quarantine.

I'm not happy to have lost last night at all. I was very disappointed but we need perspective here.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I am not really sure he was saying that Rangers fans shouldnt speak out when they are unhappy.

I think it is more to question how quickly some fans become unhappy. And how that could have a negative effect on the team if it were coming from inside the ground right now.

Take Bassey for example - he is a young player who has done well since he has come in. He had a bit of a mare last night and he was devastated by it and Tavs has had to put his arm round him to try and pick him up.

Thats what a kid like that needs in that situation. Not being labelled a bottler because he bumped into the back of someone in the box and gave away a penalty.

Its nearly christmas and we have just lost our first game to a scrappy goal in the dying seconds of a match.

Yes it was an important game that we should have won but is it enough to start labelling the team bottlers?

Not for me at this stage.

unfortunately you can't come back from a blip in the cup but I wouldn't be going overboard

Exactly

Zungu didn't play well - never play him again. Seriously.

If I was given the choice of a defeat in the league or the LC it's a total no brainer.
