We are a very good team. A team capable of getting top 4 and a team capable of hopefully winning that trophy we desperately need. Currently, we are not good enough to win the league and just don’t have the bottle. Until Spurs get some trophies under their belt, they won’t get the monkey off the back. We have a good manager and a good team. We don’t have a title winning team just yet, it’s as simple as that. 2nd in the league by Xmas is still excellent going. Everyone would bite your hand off for that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don, I still 100 per cent think Spurs will win the Prem this season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Love the optimism as usual Sandy, but we are not winning the league mate. Games like yesterday are games you need to win to win leagues. Liverpool got that win. They are still by far the best team in the league. We are getting closer don’t get me wrong, but we are not winning the title this season, not a chance mate.

The big worry if I was a Spurs fan is where the goals are coming from if Kane and Son have an off day or get injured. Your 3rd highest goal scorer in the league has just 1 goal.
You need goals from more than 2 players if you're going to win the title.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Unless it's one of these years where it's a low points tally like when Leicester won. Vardy and Mahrez were pretty much their main men up front. Think the winner this year will need more than 2 main men up front.

Seriously getting wound up at the amount of over the top reactions to last nights game.
We lost to the champions away in a very tight game, we come within inches of winming the game.
Was it a good performance, no but it was a very good disciplined display and if we had gone out all guns blazing we would have been ripped to pieces.
Nothong wrong with the way we played, we switched off for 5 seconds and it cost us the game.
2 defeats in the league so far, thats the sign of a very good team. We go again this weekend.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We also never capitalise when other rivals drop points. Chelsea, united city and Liverpool all dropped points in last 2 games.....and we get 1 point. You don’t win titles like that I’m afraid

There is no worry. We got Gareth bale. We just continue to play 2 very ineffective players in Lucas and Bergwijn who are both not good enough to start every week. Once we integrate Gareth in the team, we won’t rely on Son and Kane as much.

Did forget about Leicester actually, but yeah you usually need a 3rd player to get around 10, and I don't see that with Spurs at the moment.
People are also forgetting we have Vinicius, who has been better than both Lucas snd Bergwijn for me this season. Him and Bale should be getting more game time in the league.

The reality is 5 points separate us from Wolves in 10th place. If united win both their games in hand they are above us. Any injury to Kane or Son and we are well and truly in the chitter.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The reality is that only three points separate Spurs from top spot. So what's your point?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
My point is we can easily find ourselves closer to 10th than 1st if recent results continue.

Yeah true
I agree with the op.
Jose is so lucky to have Son and Kane in such clinical form. The problem we have is that we rely so heavily on them to finish off about 80% of the chances they have, which is unsustainable.
I do feel for the likes of Bergwijn a little because Jose tactics kind of demands they take the scraps of chances they get
It’s only because son has been as clinical as the tactics demand that we are second, but some aren’t as good and can’t match this conversion rate. Son would have scored one of those chances but he can’t do it all

Actually when we went on the front foot, we looked very good and only the post and Harry’s strange header stopped us going ahead. But think we can let Harry off because of his phenomenal record.
It’s no shame losing 2-1 at Anfield, remember they have not lost there in around 66 games since 2017. Impressive stats indeed.
Looking at our PL record v the so called top this season it reads: Man U won 6-1, City won 2-0, Arsenal won 2-0 , Chelsea drew 0-0 & Liverpool lost 2-1.
