how can anyone seriously think we wanted the game postponed to gain an advantage. Surely an Everton side without Digne, Richarlison, James, Allan and Keane would be an easier proposition.
Do some people in the uk not know how real and dangerous this covid 19 virus is or are they just selfish?

Like I said before, thick as pigshit
Why is anybody even replying to OTY Trump-Lite, and even worse believing he speaks for Liverpool fans as a whole?
Ok now we got that out of the way, why did city request the match be postponed?
Many teams have had players test positive and still managed to play their games WITHOUT infecting other team members OR members of the opposition teams.
What makes city so special they need to ask for (and receive) special treatment?
It’s not special treatment, it’s the exact same situation as Newcastle. Due to the number of players and staff impacted, we’ve got to close down our entire bubble and close the training ground. There is a high risk that other players not testing positive yet also have the virus and could pass it on.
We’re now going to miss most of the training sessions before our next games and likely have players out for them too, like Newcastle did. It isn’t in any way of benefit to us or special.

Where did I say I speak for Liverpool fans as a whole. The only people on here tarring all with the same brush are rival supporters.
It’s my opinion that Everton should be awarded three points since City asked for a postponement.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You seem to be under the impression that’s our decision to make. The PL could have turned down the request and made us play it. They’d have been absolute idiots if they had and given there was precedence, why would they?
What’s happening now is what we all thought would happen when football initially returned last Summer, and were assured by Liverpool fans would not.
It’s only a matter of times before another club has a similar outbreak. Possibly even their own. I wonder will they be demanding forfeits when that happens (I don’t really wonder because we all know they are only putting the interests of their own club ahead of fairness and integrity).
It’s clear that a lot of people, mainly in London, are being total facktards and selfish and helping to propagate the virus.

Yep.
Pretty sure we had Keita, Mane, Thiago and Shaqiri all out at the same time with positive tests.
Think City had 2 players, Walker and Jesus, Walker, a player who previously had 5ex workers come to his home during lock down, and a couple of members of staff test positive, and their games are being rearranged.
Seems a little odd.

I agree. We had two players out with covid, who were able to isolate away from training, Mane and Salah were both abroad when they tested positive and Thiago wasn't training with the team. It is a completely different situation than having players positive whilst being in and around the squad. It is 100% correct the game was called off.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just because those players tested positive when arriving for international duty doesn't mean they weren't originally positive whilst at home, and probably at the training ground.
If you have 4 players all test positive from the same club, within days of each other, it would suggest its origins were at their training ground.
So not sure why it's so very different to what's happened at City.

I’m really struggling with what people actually wanted to happen. None of this is good for us, we already have fixture congestion this is going to add to and even if the Chelsea game goes ahead, we’ll now have minimal preparation for it.
Are people honestly suggesting that we and the PL should be going contrary to their own medical advice in the middle of a pandemic risking further spread just in order to play a football game? If so, you need to flip the question round and not be asking why City are being treated differently (as they’re not), but more why you personally want City to be treated differently.
