Irrespective of the " legality" It's become a bit of a PR faux Pas so all good for me.Anything that disrupts Celtic is good for Rangers.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

The timing of this 'big' lockdown hasn't helped them either.

Plus IF (I know, I know) the hotel photographs are real then there may be an issue with compliance with the league's guidelines for hotel Covid restrictions/arrangements.

You can bet every other team is now re-reviewing what arrangements they have in place.

And if they're not then they should be

Not at all. Permission sought and granted, rules changed after departure - looks like they've done everything correctly. As you would expect.

I just think it’s bar order all round for Celtic to go to Dubai

We’re at the most dangerous moment of the pandemic just now in the UK and only going to get worse

We’re flying 6/7 hours away for a meaningless few days of training

We’re likely going into our next game 22 points behind

We’ve already had a complete and utter shambles of a season and the management and playing staff are being rewarded with a few days in the sun

The Celtic social media accounts still think it’s ok to constantly post pics and videos of trips the majority of fans think it’s a disgrace

The club is so out of touch with the support just now.

Oh and Happy New year everyone

Good. Let's hope it is a full, open and transparent investigation. Celtic have already said that the permission to undertake the trip came direct from the Scottish Government in November. At the very least there are crossed wires somewhere, but let's see what we'll see.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's not the treatment other teams have had....

Punished, docked points then you can appeal.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you always wake up with your first thoughts being how can Celtic be punished?

Dubai seems to be the go to place for a lot of Celebs as well just now.

Obviously planned with the best of intentions - with hindsight though it's a bit of a PR own goal.

Zero detail.

No exit plan. No strategy. Just blind hope with no end on sight. A worrying promise that this lockdown will be tougher and last for longer than the one in March.

An absolute disgrace. Just what the fwck is going on with the vaccine roll out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What info is it you’re looking for?

Without wanting to upset you, I get the feeling that either you know the info you want isn’t available, or the info we get for you will be trashed anyway.

The road out seems to be simple. Vaccinate as many as we can. There’s no back up.

This will be done as quick as possible. That’ll depend on production, delivery, number of people that can vaccinate and demand.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The info I’m seeking is exactly how many vaccines do we have now at our disposal.

I now have the answer from the news this morning that 4m doses are sat awaiting approval from the testing body who have acknowledged there is a significant backlog which in turn means we won’t get to this magical 2m a week until end February.

If everything goes to plan.

If
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No probs.

I think the production figures may change as time goes on, and hopefully other vaccines get approved.

I’ve no idea how quickly we can get to this 2 million number, or if we can even manage that. There’s plenty solutions though-bring in the army, 24 hour vaccinations, etc. Just hope they use everything at their disposal.

Absolutely.

I just wish they’d tell the people what their thoughts are which I’d think would clearly include the ones you’ve mentioned.

Is there no end to the way some people behave

There is a huge scam doing the rounds on text offering vaccines and when replied to diverts them to a fake NHS page which asks them to complete their personal details.

What low life

‘I just wish they’d tell the people what their thoughts are which I’d think would clearly include the ones you’ve mentioned.’

If true, the offer of help from the army was offered with the rollout of the vaccine fairly recently. Hancock declined, but with the mutation causing the spread to happen so much more quickly, he’s apparently went back to them and said yes. (Clearly, us Celtic fans won’t be going near those sites!).

I think they have ideas and preferences, but it seems to be that they want everything to fall in place before saying anything about it.

I’m talking more about the UK government here btw and giving them the benefit of the doubt. The devolved governments will have a back seat for most of this, but still need to have their plans in place. But it starts at the top.

We’ll get there.

If any questions are to be asked it will probably be why Celtic gained approval for an essential training camp under their elite athlete status yet there are a lot of pictures going around of them seemingly swigging pints by the pool on day one.

The rules around this probably arent so well written that it prevents them from ever drinking alcohol or doing other specific things outside that 'essential training camp' remit.

There is probably a big trust element to it. Celtic were probably trusted to act professionally and behave within the bounds of expectations based on an elite group of athletes on an essential training camp.

I dont really think they deserve any formal punishments tbh. Its no real biggie at the end of the day.

It was a few pints by the pool - its not like they were giving it the full Dentists Chair.

It was incredibly stupid to allow themselves to be photographed sitting around on sun loungers drinking and it looks awful, particularly after yesterdays announcement. But its up to them if thats what they want to do.

They have used the situation to allow them to have a couple of beers. A bit daft but not illegal.

The media scrutiny and the backlash from the fans will probably make its point.

Knuckles rapped and not much more I would say.

Yep

An absolute horlicks of a PR exercise.

They should be bloody ashamed when so many people are enduring the worst of this virus.

We'll get there eventually to be fair.

Think the owners of Brewdog have offered their premises and facilities too.

Plenty of help being offered but we need to cut the red tape as a priority that still currently exists.

Asking ex doctors and the like to complete on line fire drills and their understanding of data protection acts and the like is just putting obstacles in the way. By all means prove who you are and whether you have the training to administer an injection but not much beyond that is needed in a worldwide emergency ffs.

And get the approvals body to get fired in about releasing the batches as they arrive (although hopefully by now they're onto that).

Anyway, I see another press conference is on the horizon from the PM at 5 this evening. Hopefully some better notion of the vaccine programme is on the cards
