Let's be honest, how many of our MF players will get into pool, city, Chelsea or City teams.

The recruitment has been shocking

Since Santi we have seen the likes of xhaka, Guendouzi, Torreira and Lokonga.

All of these players shouldn't really be starting for us

Guendouzi was good, but a bit of a headless chicken. Lokonga looks better to me, but he's struggling to marry both attack and defence at the moment. It'll come with him, just needs time. Shouldn't be playing him in big games.

We need actually 2 midfielders

Martinelli and Odegaard were our best players today. Saka had 2,3 sometimes 4 blokes marking him, can't blame him for that.

Nah Partey is quality and you've got a decent 3 and then 1 ahead of him.

Pair Partey with a decent midfielder with Saka, ESR and Martinelli (that Klopp raves about) behind a striker and that's a good team.

We had too many players not at the races tonight. Can't have that against a top side like Pool. We made it too easy for them. Absolute no threat at all.

Can't rely on the youngster. They arent consistent enough.We actually need two strikers depending who will leave. Again our midfield needs to add at least 2 players. We need competition in there.

If they had 4 players marking saka - you have to ask what were all our unmarked players were doing?

Tomi out, White RB. Nuno, Eddie and CC only senior players on the bench.

White RB like against Norwich in the 4-0.

Holding concerns me a little. Odegaard in midfield should help, but build up is going to be pretty bad from the back.
