At home that should have been the obvious starting line up, not sure what Arteta is thinking, clearly more worried about Brighton than setting up his team to win the game

Imagine if Lamptey started up against xhaka

I think so, he's gassed.

Nothing sticks, no focal point and he just can't run consistently

Start Eddie or Pepe and see how that goes, if it doesn't work then change it and Laca had no excuse to not run for the shorter amount of minutes he's playing

I agree he's playing pretty shiiit at the moment. But with the current issues we have I'd say the biggest selection mistake is surely midfield and left back.

Thats the only circumstance under which it would make sense for Arteta start Xhaka there, but he starts him there when theire best left sided player is out...

ESR in particular has really been poor in the last month.

Get lacazette off, Tavares at LB Xhaka in midfield. Try Pepe, Martinelli or nketiah up there, there’s no way they can be worse. Lacazette doesn’t worry defences on the slightest. At least the other 3 have a bit of pace

There was a reason he wasn't starting, even though he was getting hyped up for sticking a few in the net, his general play is a bit toothless, he's not at the level of Saka
