Think he’ll go to PSG if Madrid won’t give him a new contract.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't PSG have some pretty serious wage bill issues though? Heard they're having trouble agreeing new contracts with their two big stars, I'd be surprised if they were able to make room for the kind of money Ramos might demand.
Mind you, they could always pay them all in off the balance sheet small islands.

Pretty typical Ed buy tbf

Other than Zlatan and Cavani who have been successes what other similar signings has he made?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How is Cavani a success?

Well you just named them both, maybe squeeze Falcao and Sanchez into that category too
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Both still in their 20s when signed.

Not the same as signing 34 year old Ramos on a free.

He’s a c-nt but the truth is United could probably do with a c-nt like him in terms of mentality. Too old though for me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You and I have had this conversation before but we really do need a proper leader at the back which Ramos clearly is.
Not him though, as you say. Way too late for that.

Don't know why though.
We have conceded the most goals in the top half of the table, there's a reason for that.
Our cbs are not up to it.
Having someone of Ramos class for a year, on a free.... Why wouldn't you?
Reckon another Spaniard there could help Dave as well.
Seems a no brainer to me.
Ramos is still in really good physical shape. More worrying is his dementia has been progressing for 15 years now.

Have to agree with this.
Ramos is twice the player Maguire or Lindelof will ever be even now. Unless there’s other genuine options, he’d be a clear improvement even if he is a ©๏ธunt

Not sure Ramos would help Dave. It hasn’t at national level.
That was Greg, VC, not me.
ioag, I dunno whether that’s down to money or due to just convincing them PSG is a project worth persisting with. I think that’s particularly the case with Mbappe, from what I’ve read Neymar is happy to stay.

It's what I was told by a French PSG fan who seems pretty knowledgeable on their affairs.
I don't know myself, tbh.
Might be right then. I think they’ve got a few other higher earner that could be moved on.
But I do know that signing Neymar and Mbappe had put a strain on their finances and has them skirting very close to the line with FFP. Their squad was much stronger back when they didn’t have those two, due to the wages they could pay others.

You said it. Whilst I do get your reasoning Ramos isn’t that man. Three years ago yea.
I would love Ramos. But I don’t think the club would be interested. Nor do I think Ramos would. If he’s gonna go to England my bet is Chelsea.
The chhav in him would love to strut his tats in Harrods, no doubt.
He could go to PSG and get a loyalty card from the owners. Harrods is owned by the Qataris now.
If I were negotiating with them I'd demand a royalty card instead
An experienced defender would be massive for us, somebody who knows how to win who can lead others into tough scenarios.
Ramos isn’t the one though.
