If "King" Jose had his way he would have got rid of Ndombele.

The worry is our track record of investing in the right players. When Bale was sold we bought 7 new players with the money, which in itself was a mistake as it was too much all at once. Fast forward 12 months to when Pochettino took over and within six months he’d got rid of all of them except Eriksen who he deemed to be the only player of any use to him (can’t include perma-crock Lamela). I certainly would not want to be giving a Kane funded war chest to Mourinho to blow on his types of players.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If it means signing players like Reg and PEH then I am all for King Jose spending the money. His agent is Mendes and we could go in for players like Neto for example.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Or players like Bergwijn, Hart and Doherty. And stop with the King Jose bollox if you want to be taken seriously, just perpetuates your reputation as a wum.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hart and Doherty were budget buys. Can't write Bergwijn off. He is only 23 ffs. I'll write what I want thanks. Knowing it pi55es you off I will not stop. I mean it doesn't take much to get you angry anyway does it?

I'm not ENIC out per se, I just want them to do a much better job than they're doing. The last couple of windows have shown signs of promise but there are still some poor mistakes in there - hiring Jose.

I think they get an unfair amount of criticism really. They took over a really bad situation and looked to grow the club and only really in the last two/three years have we got in a position where we can truly compete. Since the stadium being completed they’ve actually been pretty decent with transfers and then hampered by COVID.

Obviously there’s a lot of things that could have been done better but they are still very much net positive in terms of what they’ve brought to the club.

Apart from building a new stadium and training facilities alot of people are sick of them because as a team we have not really progressed much under their reign.

Winning another league cup would at least be an improvement. For the record as much as I don't like the way Levy operates in the transfer market, I would rather ENIC stuck around if we were to win trophies consistently. Due to FFP even if we were to be brought out by a country for example they would not be able to give King Jose £250m to spend on transfers without breaking the rules.

I was just answering your question as to why people want ENIC out. As others have stated they are not going anywhere soon until the stadium gets a sponsor, people start coming through the gates again. They will also want to capitalise on the NFL potential franchise team based at the stadium as well as holding gigs for Lady Gaga and whoever else.

I said credible argument though. Which other team in their tenure who didn’t have the financial capabilities of Man City, Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea or Arsenal have won more than one trophy in the same timeframe?

I was complaining about their activity or lack of it 10 years ago, when we went into our first CL campaign having done very little in the transfer window. Even before that the signs were there that we weren't showing the most ambition and I believe the lack of transfer activity and organisation in the windows has held us back from being more successful in this last decade.

When we didn't sign anyone for a whole year it took the pisss but was in some ways hardly surprising. If any club was going to go a whole summer window without signing someone it was going to be Spurs with Levy at the helm.

Whether we've started changing our ways remains to be seen.

The plan was always to grow the club off the field to then get into a position where we can properly compete on the field. I’m not saying there haven’t been mistakes as plenty of decisions have been made that I think were dumb - but they’ve been unfortunate that once we finally were in the position to push on COVID happened; but the recent transfer windows have been good.

As annoying as the 12 month no transfers I think that’s as much on Poch as them as by all credible accounts he’d turned down Cook and Tielemans.

As I say, it remains to be seen whether we are indeed "pushing on". Even the last window under Poch had question marks above it. Why were we leaving things so late once again after signing Ndombele early? This is a trend under Levy/ENIC that needs to stop but probably never will while we have these owners.

Spurtle - agreed I think they’ve made a lot of stupid decisions but it’s really difficult in football to keep making the right decision year-on-year and I struggle to blame them too much for not having cash to spend while financing a £1bn stadium.

I think now we are in a place where we can truly judge them based on on-the-pitch performances. It’s just a shame that the initial person to reap the rewards is Jose.

It's fine making mistakes because everyone does but when you continue to not learn from them then you lose my sympathy.

I'm still not even sure whether the good business done in the last window was down to Levy having his Mourinho fangirl glasses on. I would like to think he keeps this up with other future managers.

Edin. Ticket Prices. We have the highest or second highest ticket prices in the league. Is it fair to charge so much when we hardly win anything ?
