He has been brought in to get us over the line - now he has to deliver. 6/7th and a cup win probably buys him another season, 6-8th and no cup sees him out in my opinion.
I can’t get too carried away, he has only taken us backwards so far.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spurs are in a better league position than when he arrived, and in a cup final. So he hasn`t taken the club backwards at all. May not be brilliant, but it is still better than when he came in.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m not anti Jose at all, but he has definitely taken us backwards - it’s unfair to point at where Poch left us in that final year when we had been in the CL final the year before that and always in the top 4.
We have looked miles off that side so far - however with a nearly full squad , hopefully we can finish very strongly and add a couple of pots

Poch had a much better side than Jose has now in my opinion. He had a peak Lloris, Walker, Rose, Toby and Verts for a start, Dembele and Eriksen in midfield, a young and hungry Dele firing on all cylinders. But he still won nothing.
I am sure had Jose had that peak Spurs team of four seasons ago, he would have got them over the line in a competition or two.
Spurs current defence is a million miles away from the one Pochettino had.
It is obvious that investment in the defence is now badly needed from goalie, CBs, maybe even at fullback, but money is now going to be tight, so I don`t think there will be to many ins and outs in the summer.

5th/6th he doesn`t really matter. He finished in a better position than when he took over, and did get Spurs back into Europe, despite missing Kane and Son for long periods.

The CL final run was about as flukey as it gets, Spurs were lucky to get out of the group, but for a team messing up their home game in the last game of the group, and Spurs playing a reserve Barca in their last game. Had Barca needed to win, Spurs would have almost certainly have lost and gone out in the group stages. They were completely outplayed in both legs of the semi, but somehow won. That was as lucky a run as any team will ever get to reach a CL final, and I doubt it will ever be repeated.

So if he wins the 2 cups is anyone still prepared to go the the stadium next season and watch the shat being served up week in week out next season?
The only reason his in a job still is due to no fans, would 60.000 spurs fans sit there and watch that shat show served up vs Chelsea or Liverpool and be happy?

Once you got past the 1st team there wasn't much depth there and that let us down when it really mattered in cup competitions.
How can you say it had nothing to do with Poch? May as well dismiss any involvement the manager has then and just put everything down to the players.
There was luck involved but every team needs luck. I guarantee if it had been Mourinho you would be praising his contributions rather than putting it down to luck.

Well he finished 5th last season, so the league form improved from when he was appointed, and he may well do again this season, but can only be judged at the end of the season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
he finished 6th.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
5th/6th he doesn`t really matter. He finished in a better position than when he took over, and did get Spurs back into Europe, despite missing Kane and Son for long periods.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Poch had a much better side than Jose has now in my opinion.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well you could say that the current team is better than the one of 2 seasons ago that Poch got top 4 with and to a CL final. Let's see if Jose can beat that shall we?

you'd think Lloris, Walker, Rose, Verts, Dembele and Eriksen werent already at the club when Poch came in the way some fans bang on about the squad being the problem over manager

I would rather enjoy watching us play every week than hating the football we play and getting a trophy at the end. What's the point?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I wouldn’t worry as you’ll be getting neither of those things

Rose and Walker nobody rated that much before Poch came. I don't think Dembele was doing so well pre-Poch, although he showed he was a good player at Fulham.

The CL final came more about through an enormous slice of luck along the way. Not to say I didn`t enjoy the run to the final, but I wouldn`t say it had anything at all to do with Poch and his coaching.

Every team needs luck Sandy, whether it be relying on other results, or getting lucky draws or byes into the next round.
Anyway, he got top 4 as well, or was that all down to luck too?
