For the fee n hype has to be havertz no.1 for me. He looked some talent in Germany, really struggled here though. Hes got a lot of time on his side though being so young. But i think we all expected a lot more given what he was doing at leverkusen.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Covid + injuries = wait until end of season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No only thiago's injuries matter, Havertz can't have that excuse.

I keep forgetting thats written into his contact. My bad
I know I’m biased but I find it hard to label Thiago a flop. Before his injury when he was playing with a solid back 4 and 2 midfielders doing the hard graft he looked quality.
Now he’s playing with midfielders as defenders and having to do the dirty work in the middle you don’t really get to see the best of him.
If anyone were to be called a flop you’d be hard to argue against Havertz or Bale
A lot wanted kai at liverpool as they did werner. So a lot was expected i guess. Both young and i think will come good eventually. Still expected more goals n assists from kai even when not playing at his best like werners managed.
Not much between them. I think sitting here this time next season I have a feeling opinions will have changed a lot about most these players though. Except for Willian perhaps.
This year like no other was very difficult for a new signing. Little to no pre-season, hectic schedule, no crowds etc. You would normally give a new signing from a foreign league 6 months to adapt as well.
Would definitely expect more from Werner and Havertz next season, especially now they have a German boss.
Not so much about flops more disappointment as the article says. I did expect a lot more from werner and kai n thiago, each have circumstances though as does most on this list. Vdb hard if youre not playing? Covid n injuries n a team struggling in general?
But yeah i thought havertz would sill have scored more by now.
Brewster as i said another one i thought would have had more minutes n goals.
At one point chelsea looked to be settling n finding form and judt felt was a matter of time until they hit their stride. It just didnt happen though they didnt find that next level then went down a gear and became inconsistent like rest of us this year.
Ramsdale would be my choice. Nearly £20m on a facking awful 'keeper, who was a big reason for Bournemouth going down and is a big reason for his new club following them.

Yeah he’s facking Shiite. I remember thinking what the feck when I saw that deal announced. Looks ten times in hindsight.
I tend to be more lenient on gk of that age though. Gks often peak into their 30s and theres more than gk issues at sheffield thats seen hem drop off from last season. That said i did also question the signing. But like brewster hes an investment for the future though was one of their own. Maybe he will come good hard to tell so soon for a gk. the disappointment not landing henderson forced them to panic buy ramsdale back?
The problem is, their future is now in the Championship.

Brewster is another who should be mentioned in this thread. I get he is young but no goals and assists for a 20 million forward is poor.

Of course he's been a huge disappointment! He was supposed to be this world class superstar who was going to make Liverpool way better and he's done furrrk all. Thiago is a Fernando Torres/Andrei Shevchenko level of flop
----------------------------------------------------------------------
it's thiago, from "best midfielder on the planet" to "christ, he's worse than curtis jones" in 3 months.
him or amad diallo.
i would say thiago if not for all the liverpool injuries. he was supposed to add that little extra to a great team.
that great team isn't there.
so i'll go with werner, 9 goals is kind of crap actually.
How did Brewster not get on the list? That was daylight robbery.
Hes scoring a hatrick tomorrow now.

Werner 10 goals 9 assists.... flop
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Similar stats to Pepe last season.
The answer is Thiago - EASILY
He was the best midfielder in the world when Liverpool signed him, or so we were told. Xhaka has been better than him this season which says it all
look, anyone who answers thiago is on the wum. he's been indured.
timo Werner is a MASSIVE signing meant to really drive cheslea on. He's been lift but absolutely awful
Van der beek was a nonsense signing when utd already had fernandes and pogba.
willian? hes a free. shouldn't even be on this list
the other: havertz is another disaster.
Timo werner and Havertz have contibuted hugely to Lampard losing the job.
