They were 1 point above the relegation zone almost half way into the season when he was sacked from Chelsea, I am very sure you will find a lot of Chelsea fans that were happy to see him leave.

I dunno wtf Mike is on about btw.

The buck stops with the players. We all know this.

I agree with Wahl.

The buck stops with the disenfranchised number 10 that was dropped and called out in public multiple times as the old saying goes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Again, which comes first, the chicken or the egg?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Exactly.

It's not like it was Jose picked Sissoko and Winks when he asked for a goal is it? They players have a lot to answer for.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He picked Dele Alli, Kane, Moura and Lamela. They should be able to score at least one goal against Zagreb.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Indeed. In fact it make you wonder what kind of training sessions these players are putting on and that's before we talk about the culture that they have allowed to develop in the dressing room that looks like it's leading to Spurs worst season in over a decade.

It was the same with the players at Utd, and the ones at Chelsea.

Fvcking disgrace. Jose putting himself in the line of fire with all the interviews he has to do as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Again, Lloris talks about this in his interview. He says that the players didn't have the right attitude and understimated Zagreb despite Mourinho instructing the opposite.

It's all right there yet people still turn it around on Mourinho. It's unbelievable levels of delusion to ignore what the tottenham captain is telling you has happened and choose to believe your own conspiracy theories.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm agreeing with you.

As said it's not Jose's job to manage the players is it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What more could he have done, he told them what to do yet according to Lloris they flat out ignored him.

The fact that Lloris defends the manager and says such things about his own teammates says a lot I woudl think.

So why did the fans boo the players and chant Mourinho's name the game after Mourinho was fired

You're a mess, do your research before making false claims.

the first game after mourinho was fired:

"Chelsea's players were also on the receiving end of x /-rated chants collectively when each goal Chelsea scored was instantly greeted with chants for Mourinho."

=========

Other than say score a goal as you say he did I have absolutely no idea.

Imagine telling them to do that and them not doing it. Ridiculous.

The manager underestimated them, that's why he played so many of these shiyte back up squad players at once, and if he can't motivate them then he's not doing his job as their manager very well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
“The message from the manager was clear
To attack the game, to score one goal, as soon as we can to make the game easier"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you think the Spurs players took it upon themselves to not try and score then?

I'm assuming you didn't even watch the game.

A better way of carrying out Joses masterplan of 'trying to score 1 goal' would have been to not play several back up players that apparently it is well known do not have the right attitude.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
“The message from the manager was clear
To attack the game, to score one goal, as soon as we can to make the game easier"

Lloris words, not Mourinho.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The players didn't listen to the manager then, that comes down to the manager.

I notice how you didn't reply to me when I first said this, I wonder why that is...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lloris talks about this in the interview as well, watch it.

He says as a player that you HAVE to listen to the manager, no excuses.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They didn't though, evidently, that's why they lost. That implies a manager is doing a bad job if the players are not listening to his instructions.

I have also read your comment about having bad employees, a bad manager will blame his tools.

What's he supposed to do? Lloris got the message clearly. If they didn't, then that's on them. If it was enough motivation for Lloris, why wasn't it for the rest of them?

Lloris let in three goals and they went out.

Wahl thinks Chelsea fans were sad Jose got sacked

posted on 19/3/21

Because the players do not want to play under the manager no more. As I have said previously, if players are not willing to perform, something is wrong and it usually comes down to the manager.

Many players have lost faith in Jose as they are fed up of the less intense training sessions and spending too much time focusing on the opposition where they should be working on their game plan and improving their games.

You can't fire 16 players though can you, if a manager loses the dressing room it's done. He's a Chelsea legend and always will be, if eventually our players turn on Ole and get him the sack I'm pretty sure OT will still be singing his name, but it doesn't mean they don't think it's the right decision to see him leave.

He doesn't have the luxury of being a Spurs legend though, he was brought in short term to make them winners, with a squad that Poch got to a CL final, Jose was the 'winning mentality' man to get them that 1 stage further, instead he's taken them backwards.

posted on 19/3/21

You know hindsight is 20/20 isnt it but with Lloris clearly being able to do as the manager asks Jose probably should have to him not to let any goals in and then they be in the next round.

How many times in history has a manager lost the dressing room whilst he's been doing a good job?

It’s exactly clear what happened to me. The Tottenham players underestimated Zagreb and weren’t up for the fight. Lloris’ interview hints exactly at this.

I do appreciate a Wahl meltdown after another embarrassing night for Jose.

They’re becoming more regular.

posted on 19/3/21

So the players have no obligation or responsbility to respect their manager and can give up on him if they feel like it. Because that's professional.

Jesus christ, this place sometimes. You treat players liek they're teenagers or children and not grown men with a responsibility.

Bigger picture, not just based on 1 bad result...

I would think the fact Spurs have become so boring to watch, generally more worried about the opponent than trying to beat them and retreating to defend once getting 1-0 up would suggest the players have been carrying out Jose and his coaches instructions fairly well, just like we became when he was our manager.

No personally I don't agree with that attitude, as you say, they are professionals after all.

But the fact this happens tells you a lot more about the manager than the players. If professional players will go so far to not listen to their manager, that says more about the manager than the players.

They should do what the manager says, but the fact they obviously haven't says more about the manager than the players I'm afraid. I'm sure a change in management would see the players perform to their capabilities in the short term.
