Shameful.

Social media just gives these mugs a platform to express their hatred and hide behind a computer screen with little to no punishment

There are some seriously sad people out there. Players should down tools until it gets sorted out.

As pride says unfortunately this is the social media warrior generation.

Acting the hard man or woman behind a keyboard. The huge companies that run these sites need to be held far more accountable for their members actions.

Also why take a game of football that seriously you need to racially abuse someone?
Answer is they don’t they’re just knuckle dragging moronic Neanderthals

Absolutely appaling I'm ashamed of ourr supporters.

Shameful stuff but let's not pretend there isn't racism in the terraces.

Social media is full of cowards but there are many cowards in the terraces thay never reported racism they heard in the stands.

I wouldn't in any way define your support by that incident. Spurs have 100000s of supporters. It's inevitable just by statistics there will be some racist morons amongst them. Hopefully those responsible are banned, that's all you can ask of the club. The fact it provokes condemnation is what matters.

Sad to say but it is happening every week now and has become the norm. Don't know what the answer is but social media companies need to do something.

Society is starting to finally "see" what black people experience on a daily. And this is just low level racism. Structural/institutional racism is even more serious and will never change

We all need to rally around Sanchez now, and not allow the racists to win. Pity there are no supporters, otherwise we could show our appreciation for one of our players against Man U next weekend.

Does anyone know what happens to these cants? Always hear there is some racial abuse, then occasionally they find the cant. But is it just a caution or some ballacks like that?

Should be jail time in my book. Stamp out this shiite. It's beyond ridiculous how common this story is.

Fckin sad lives some of these bottom feeders lead

I wonder if the fact that it becomes a big story is one of the reasons these idiots do it.

If there was a way to deal with it quietly, without all the publicity, maybe it would stop.

I know there's a push to highlight these incidents at the moment, and I can understand that, but I can't help but think it's just playing into the hands of sad trolls who crave attention and want to feel important somehow.

Unfortunately this could be true

Person seeking attention gets attention (whilst remaining anonymous). Stop giving stupid people attention.

It's like with a dog. If it barks at you to get you to throw the ball, and you throw it after it barking, it will continue to bark at you to get you to throw the ball. Ignore it and it will not bark at you because it doesn't receive the reward. I am not saying these people are as intelligent as dogs, but it is the same basic principle.

Whoever directed the racial abuse needs calling out and arrested. This I won’t accept. I don’t accept any supporter let alone a Spurs fan commit these offences online or in the public. That being said, I won’t change my mind over the dog s** player he is. Racial abuse I will stand by him and stand by any human being that suffers any form of racist abuse. As a football player, hopefully the quicker he f** off out of this club, the better. He is a major part of the problem in that defence and we continue to play this clown.

Big problem is a lot of these accounts are like bots or trolls living behind made up information and anonymous profiles.

Not dramatic at all sorry but even if it's one person it's one person to many.

Yep and I also highly doubt they are actual Spurs fans

Social media is damaging enough for the regular person, nevermind someone who has gone from school at aged 16 to being a world famous footballer within a couple of years. Social media is a damaging environment, this needs to be recognised and acted upon by people advising famous footballers rather than trying to achieve something impossible like policing those who can contact the famous person. Media nowadays is based on outrage though so it works for them. The media are genuinely hoping for someone to be racially abused after a bad performance as it makes a good clickable story for them. It's the same if a player gets a head injury or such. The media genuinely hopes they die so they can get a bigger story.
