No. We wanted Mourinho out because he was a toxic influence and a washed-up has-been. Getting Nagelsmann would've been amazing, but Mourinho needed to go whether Nagelsmann replaced him or not.
Yep, while Levy is over seeing footballing matters I have almost zero faith he will appoint the right man. Levy wants a manager who can turn water into wine, and over achieve on a extremely limited budget, he had this with Poch, but these managers are few and far between.
In the 20 miserable years of ENIC, Levy has appointed 2 (or 3 if you include Jol) good managers, and he sacked both of those.
Until ENIC drastically change their ways or disappear altogether, any new manager coming in will face the same problems with Levy`s skinflint approach to transfers etc.
In the face of the pandemic, last summers transfer business was done largely done on the cheap, and it has showed on the pitch.

Jose was the reason we wanted Jose out
Ten Haag has overseen a transition at Ajax over the last two seasons by selling all the star names that played against us in the semi final a few years back and bringing virtually a new team at a profit. Music to Levy's ears.
As well as his style of football he seems like an ideal candidate given the fact he will not cost too much to bring in and when you look at pool of managers available at a low cost he is up there.
A couple of issues - Ajax will be playing CL football next season and he will have to sell to buy. Will he want to manage a club not playing in the CL? Will he accept there is no budget?
Personnally I think we should be all out for him. Lets hope he has aspirations of managing in England.
Ok, so here how I understand this:
There is a manager that Spurs have approached and because this manager is still employed, Spurs are not divulging anything and are waiting for an optimum moment to tie up the paper works.
I think Redknapp said this on sky too. But no one has said who that is?
Managers still in employment that Spurs, and more importantly Levy, would want are?
Bodgers is one. But he has denied the rumours, and has his side in CL so why would he go to a club that is on the decline like Spurs?
Ten Hag. In charge of Ajax
Anyone else?
Poch? Very unlikely. Poch will want to achieve far better things with PSG before he even consideres mid table Spurs.
Looks like Ten Hag. He is 51 years old and led his team to that famous semi-final against Poch's Spurs.
Won a local cup and the Eredevesie which is the equivalent of Sunday league here.

Basically start over the whole Poch saga.
Ten Hag will need a few seasons to get you going. Sandy will declare the quadruple won at the start of the season. Then because the manager is doing well, wont get further signings. Then the team starts to decline, Sandy will start writing letters, Ten Hag will be sacked. Rinse repeat.
im very ready for this again though

Not at all mate. If you read my posts from the past few weeks, I have said it will take Spurs at least four or five years to even get back to the CL with the current squad, whoever the manager.
And I wasn't the one demanding the last manager was sacked before he had even completed one full season. So get it right.

Only Spurs can turn a winner like Jose into a loser.

Jol was a really good manager for spurs.... dragged us out of the dark days and actually had us qualifying for Europe again
Ten Hag is clearly a capable manager but I think there's a lot of fans here desperate to convince themselves he's the right man. I'm still not sure. The system is what breeds success at Ajax, not the manager. Whichever team nurtured the talent we faced a couple of years back during their teenage years is where the credit is found. Ten Hag is just someone passing through during a rich time of club development. With a bit of luck, De Boer could have had similar talent at his disposal. I'm not saying that he's not a good manager but the players that came through and the triangular patterns of play that, let's face it, should have demolished us, are possibly more an Ajax thing than a Ten Hag thing.
The one thing I'm clinging to is that Bayern were also looking at him before they bagged JN so he must have something about him.

I don't think it will take you 5 years to get back to CL football of your consistent levels under Pochettino should you appoint the right manager.

Ten now has to be first choice, even if we got Nagglesman Levy would have collapsed when he realised it would cost 30 mill.
I don’t want Ten Haag, he will be another manager sacked after a couple of seasons.
Give me Rodgers, he’s done a great job at Leicester but I reckon he would do an even better job with our players and financial backing.
In my opinion we have much better squad than Leicester, I’d put the Leicester squad on par with Everton. But Leicester are winning and playing well under Rodgers, it’s enough proof for me to want him as our manager.
He’s never gonna turn us down to stay at Leicester, yeah Leicester are doing well this season but us, Liverpool and Chelsea are having poor seasons which has helped their cause. Plus we’re a much bigger club.
I got this from twitter and thought it would be spot on if it were true:

If not ETH then I'd definitely prefer Potter over Parker. His work in Sweden with Osterunds was impressive by all accounts and, whilst Parker has started well, he just doesn't have enough experience.
We need an identity again. Whether it be high energy pressing, fast counter attacks or tiki taka. We need something. And it needs to be trained into the youth set up. We need a manager who has the mandate to blood youngsters without fear or reprisals (ie getting the sack after a few games).
So not Allegri.

On this note, it makes it doubly ridiculous that Jose was appointed, given his style of football is diametrically opposed to the type of football Poch ensured was coached in the Spurs youth teams for the best part of five years ...

Style was not the reason for employing him. Style had got us nowhere .
