I would rather we brought Mir back into the squad and spend money elsewhere on the team, than buy another striker who probably won't be good enough.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It would be a huge mistake to let Mir leave without giving him another season with us. He has the potential and all the attributes to be a top centre forward.
I don’t think we could sign a better prospect than Mir. Just a question about whether he wants to come back to England or take up offers he will get from some of the bigger Spanish clubs.
There is a question mark whether we need another centre forward anyway with hopefully Raul coming back and Fabio improving all the time.
Having said that, Wolves could make a quick profit on their £35m signing, with the Spanish press claiming Real Madrid want to sign him. Jiminez meanwhile has been named in the Mexico squad for their pre Olympic set of fixtures

Silva definitely coming on, wish he had a bit more pace
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lewis Dunk couldn't catch him
Three strikers gives us an option to play with 2 up front occasionally. Fabio is still very young to be relying on him as first choice striker, as we gently ease Raul back in from his serious injury.
Yeah, I think a team needs three strikers. Gives you the option of playing two strikers at times and covers injuries / loss of form.
It's all about budget of course but 3 or 4 strikers in the squad gives a manager so many options besides covering injuries and being able to rest players for competitions over and above the league.
Klopp plays with any 3 of Salah, Mané, Firminho and Jota they invariably produce the goods.
I remember playing Man U in the cup at Molineux when we were in the champo. I was sat behind the goal in the North Bank and after having convinced myself that Fergie would field a weakened side, was confronted by the advancing menace of Rooney, Van Nistelrooy and Saha. If I had been in the Wolves goal I would have been crapping myself!
Only 4,500 tickets available for the Man U game which is disappointing but not as much as the £45/40 ticket price, which I find a bit on the steep side to be honest.
I did think concourse space might be an issue in the three older stands, though the BW wont be used. Will be interesting to see what other clubs/local authorities allow in terms of capacity.
Mad that the government say 25% of capacity can be used then the council limit it to 4500. Do hope we are free of all these limitations by August
Neil Maupay was sent off after the final whistle on Sunday and his case has been referred to the FA by the referee because his behaviour and language is thought to warrant more than a one game ban
Not surprised the number is far less than the 25%
Silva does actually appear a little quicker to me. Never going to be a speedster but good to see the club have focused on his page right away, saw a video explaining how you can work on increasing speed and no doubt Silva has been drilled hard on that score.
He has done well of late and he is an easy player to like
Given the tiny attendance and the miserable season I did half expect the club to just not charge for the game at all. It isn't like the small amount of money is going to go into anybodies pockets
Just reading the uproar now on MolMix and quite rightly so, 45 quid for a dead game with reserves filling most spots. Sounds like Burnley have gone the free route.

Comparison to other clubs
Seems pointless having just 4500 fans back for one dead rubber game. £45 is a ridiculous price, although Spurs have been charging £60+ for theirs.
Goes to show that the clubs don't really care about the fans really though. They are just money makers.
The club have basically just passed up an open goal to create some goodwill for the sake of £200k.
Huge inflation is coming in all prices.
Central banks can't increase the money supply by circa $10 trillion without consequence.
I do think £45 is steep for any game and unnecessarily high for this one
But as is the bizarre world of social media it’s probably the people who don’t go to the games that are most unhappy about the cost, whereas those who entered the ballot are just praying to get a ticket

What a dumb dumb comment.
It's a one off game so not and profits would be minimal to say the least. It has been a miserable time and the club have bemoaned the fact that they have missed the fans. It is also game where we shall be fielding fringe players but yet some how you think a price increase is the smart move. FFS
£45 is nothing to a real fan like Spangles.
Anyone who has suffered financial hardship during a pandemic or feels priced out of their own club can't be a real fan. They're just social media people who don't go to games.
Typical comment from DJ Molineux. He's probably president of the "I'm all right Jack" club.
