What Rangers asked for is exactly the type of thing which would have helped avoid the disturbances at the weekend.
Get ahead and control a situation rather than the situation controlling you.
Easier to Police
Easier to track & trace rather than the completely non existent protocol
Provide an outlet for the pent up frustrations
Move the crowd away from local businesses
The Council could have ensured Rangers payed for any clean up around the local area
It would have undermined the victim mentality so prevalent with sections of Rangers fans
Could have let Rangers/ the Police/ the Council work better with fans groups in the build up
Could have given the Council time and space to completely close off George Square
All opportunities missed - they all just let the dice fall where they would.
And yes of course I get why it didn’t happen - it would look like rules were being changed just for Rangers.
That ‘consequence’ would have been more palatable for all involved
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Or
Your fans could have just behaved
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The overwhelming majority did
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No...none of them did.
Nobody who was in that match was behaving themselves.
Nobody who was in George Square was behaving themselves
Nobody who entered Glasgow on the day was behaving f themselves.
You've been defending the indefensible for days on this.
Rangers, for once, need to accept some responsibility.
As for you earlier comment that the city council should just have gone ahead and trusted Rangers to pay the bill. Absolutely laughable.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You stick to your guns debear and ignore the personal insults. The only reasson that common sense did not win ove politics is that it would upset too many people and then different wallopers would have caused trouble instead.. Yup people make Glasgow
Just thought I would throw in that wee incendiary device and
Too soon?

Marvellous
Think they’re getting in?
I stick by my wager that clubs in Scotland will not see 10,000 fans or more attending games prior to the new year.
And yes I know that it really only relates to the OF but I’d even suggest pro rata.

With the vaccine tracker POV linked earlier - there may be a way to do it.
If they're letting 16500 egg chasers in to a stadium in a few weeks and it goes well then that may help too...
