Wolves' Spain winger Adama Traore, 25, is in talks over a new contract, putting an end to speculation linking him with Liverpool and Barcelona.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Saw that earlier on this morning, it's funny the change of heart isn't it? like why now? what could possibly have changed?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The manager may have had some influence over that, was he not left on the bench a few times when the news first came out about a stall in contract talks?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
yeah he was Leffy... and managed to play pretty well for the last month or so.
hows you anyway
Mourinho and Nuno facking off in a matter of months is wonderful news for the league.

Interesting they announce now when it has been known for weeks.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We knew three weeks ago. I heard via the same source that called his appointment in the first instance weeks before it became public.
A very good manager that couldn't be without family for any longer. He's been broken for a year now and a number of the players are, as well.
Neves, Patricio, Moutinho in particular have suffered far more than people know.
As a result, there will be a mass exodus this summer and a fair few returning to their home countries. The next lockdown is imminent and the window of opportunity to go back to families is closing fast.

Always good to hear, or read in this case.
Kind of glad that he's leaving in this manner, who knows what the actual reasons are at his point in time but for now he can leave with his head held high on good terms with all. The last year has been pretty crap on the field to be honest but we'll never forget the first three seasons and if he can recreate that elsewhere he'll do ok. Hope he gets to spend some time with his family and I wish him luck wherever he goes (unless its Sandwell or Witton of course... it wont be).
I'm excited to see who will come next, who's you're money on?

Really need to see Fosun sell up now. They got lucky with Nuno and his entourage - he wasn't even first choice.
They failed to rebuild the stadium. They put all their eggs in the Mendes basket and have now allegedly fallen out with him big time. He is a far, far more important figure in football than Fosun will ever be and the reason why we got so many good players for peanuts.
Like Leeds - who are looking set for a serious challenge on breaking into the top four if their spending plans are anything to go by - Wolves must get some decent owners and preferably American ones.
The CCP/Guo situation shows just how tenuous their Project not only looks like now but has for over a year. Anybody owned by Chinese money is on shaky ground.
The dream that Nuno had is about to become a nightmare if Fosun aren't replaced soon.

New Spurs manager?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Christ! I hope not. I'm clinging to the fact that why on earth would Wolves allow him to leave / relieve him of his duties when they could have held out for compensation from Spurs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We want someone who plays good football, it won't be him
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe the fans do, but Levy doesnt give a fack. He says he wants to play attacking attractive football and then hires Mourinho so yes, Nuno to Spurs could well be possible considering Levy is at the helm.
Wolves must get some decent owners and preferably American ones.
--------------------------------
So they can join the ESL?
End of an era. Had a feeling it was coming but still a shock its happened.
I think it's good he leaves now, as I think there is a good chance he could have been sacked next season. This way he leaves a hero and Wolves legend as he deserves.
Hopefully we get the full rebuild we need to kick on.
I will never forget Nuno’ efforts and for bringing me much enjoyment and pride in seeing us go toe to toe with the top teams, plus memorable trips to Porto/ Braga, Barcelona and Athens , all at a time when my personal situation changed allowing me more time for live football, he was also a good ambassador for the club -polite and respectful, good luck Nuno
"Off to Spurs" is trending on twitter.
Not sure about this Lage rumour personally. Loads lumping on that one but his head coaching experience is limited to one spell at Benfica, which apparently started well but ended poorly and has been out of work for a year. Has experience in this country though working with Carvalhal.
In other news, new kit supplier announced (Castore... me neither) and Kenny Jackett is the new Leyton Orient manager.

A phrase that means fook all.
Wolves' link with agent Jorge Mendes will be helpful as they try to sign Portugal forward Goncalo Guedes, 24, from Valencia, who have "sent a message to the market" that they will listen to offers. Sevilla have also shown an interest.

Been quite a few exciting rumours in recent weeks like the Guedes one. I've kind of brushed them off, but maybe we are going to see a full refresh. Has the feeling of the end of one era and beginning of a new one.
Fosun have an interest in Gestifute, who not only have Bruno Lage on heir books, but also a certain Carlos Carvalhal who is at Braga.
Lage has been an assistant to Carvalhal at both Sheff. Wed and Swansea.
