I like Micah.
Tbh I don't mind most pundits, not sure why some people are so down on them. Ditto refs.
Gary Neville.
Revitalised punditry.

Roy Keane.
Surly and miserable. How it should be.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Actually I’d change to Keane being equal first.
Souness for me. No doubt he’s somewhat biased, but he certainly makes more sense than the others.
Keane and souness. Tell it straight, dont mince their words and although they both have their allegiances, arent shy to give their teams a dressing down when its appropriate.
I like the majority on Sky and dislike the majority on other channels.

Micah because he has a sense of humour unlike Keane or Scholes.
None so far for my choice, is it because it's a girls name?
Without racking my brain... I like Danny Murphy. I don't know why.
And Gary Neville. And I do know why.
I don't mind pundits with a heavy club bias per se, ie Keane, Lineker, as they often have inside info and are very passionate regarding their club.
Gullit and Shearer judging specific players and explaning train of thoughts of those playing in their own positions re also interesting as they were top top lvl in those roles themselves.
I do have problems with pundits spewing made up BS now and then trying to be controversial (Savage, Merson) to make headlines.
Or certain pundits like Gary Neville who clearly enjoy 'destroying' their fellow managers, but are utter sh@t themselves at managing (Valencia still has his mugshot on the persona non grata list) and can't take the heat themselves when players/managers fire back at them.
Steve McManaman is actually a good pundit if you can endure that accent for more than 2 nanoseconds.

Pat Nevin is a thoroughly nice bloke and knows his stuff.
Andy Gray. Sexist remarks aside, he was great on Sky.

Take a bow, son.
My all time favourite was Brian Clough.
Gray was excellent as a co-commentator. His voice was full of passion.
I like Murphy, Neville, Carragher and Jose, when he has done punditry.

Problem was he had that letterbox mouthed priiick keys interrupting with his nonsense, Gray used to analyse games well

Knew his stuff as well. Most pundits just point out the obvious and trot out cliches but he was more insightful, as I remember.

i don't see him as a pundit, its like someones let in a massive football fan and hes just enjoying watching the game for free talking bollox
I don't mind him some people find him annoying but as a pundit he doesnt offer much.
Souness knows shiiiiit all about the modern game. He just doesn’t understand contemporary football tactics.
He isn’t alone though: there are a ton of pundits who couldn’t deliver a useful analysis of a modern Sunday league game. Keane is another. Savage, Merson. You may as well have Joe Bloggs giving his ten pence.
Television coverage just doesn’t doesn’t reflect the fact that the game is *far* more technical and intelligent than it was even 20 years ago.
Maybe the networks acknowledge this internally, and are happy catering to the casual fan. Maybe they’re just employing entertainers over analysts. Or maybe they don’t realise that Souness screaming about “desire”, “being first to the ball”, and “passion” isn’t really a very rich picture of what’s actually going on in elite football matches, and they’re just employing the wrong people.
