I don't think fan base does much, a lot of Chelsea and Man City fans are just people who have supported them because they got rich but they are both considered good teams.

I class how big a clubs is by how many trophies they've won over the years, not just by fan bases. Even though their in the mess they are now I still class Nott'm Forest and Leeds as big clubs.

to be a big team you need these

1. big stadium
2. a lot of history
3. fan base
4. current success
5. good potential players for the future

imo you need at least 3

wilshere we have the third best youth acadamy in the counry and we have some of great palyers coming out of it atm...

villa have a better defence and a better striker than you

your midfield is better i give you that

4. we are having sucsess atm

currently id say youth academies above sunderland are chelsea man utd arsenal and villa but sunderland do have some good players.

i think we will keep bertrand hed need pl loan really. we only have him and cole at lb. bosingwa probably only chosen because of the size of the game normally i think bertrand would have played.

according to alan green avb had told bertrand in midweek he was doing that but that he was getting much closer to starting games. hes a good player i would be very annoyed if we didnt give him a chance.
