everyones spent more than arsenal, man city have spent more than chelsea and until now havent really done anything

its not badly run they just want instant success which cant happen. Not too mention Luiz was 18m + Matic and has been a good signing, he'll be a very good player for us

Avram Grant on 5 live saying he doesnt know why he did stay on as chelsea manager. Well Avram because you were interim managaer for 6 months and no one liked you very much because you can't manage.

FFS catts and Sess out for liverpool and the fa cup game

there is no way we can win now and thats our season over

This job is made for Steve Kean

Did Avram not get you closer to the Champions League than anyone else?

Avram did a brilliant job at chelsea

got you to the final of the CL got you to 2nd. when he joined you were like 7/8 points behind the top 2.

posted on 4/3/12

would say it was more the players tbh, everyone knew he couldnt manage look what hes done since leaving chelsea.

the squad at that point was arguably the best in europe i could have got them to a CL final

From what your saying you'd think you wouldn't need a manager. Players fault that AVB wasn't doing well. Players fault Grant did well.....

Add in he took the league title to the last day and that year United had Ronaldo I'm sure.

Compare the strengths in squads that year and now, it wasnt difficult really for him he had several players in the top 10 best in the world. He was not good enough to stay at Chelsea, the players had stopped listning to him and played the way they wanted to so yes youd have to say it was due to the quality of players not him.

He got a west ham side relegated who had a very strong squad for a start

Man U had a much better squad and imo Arsenal were at the very least just as good as chelsea that season probably better.

AVB got pompey to the final of the fa cup lol

LSTD that sounds like nonsense to me.

Don't see how you can argue that point for Grant's success. Yet blame the players for AVB's lack of success, when AVB also had class players. He just couldn't get them playing well.

i think you lstd are biast... he did very well and chelsea and very good at pompy

man utd did not have a much better squad then

Chelsea had arguably the best keeper in the world at that time, the best LB, one of the best CB partnerships, an amazing midfield of Essien and Lampard in their prime as well as Ballack. He had arguably the most in form CF in the world at that time too as well as a second team that could probably get top 6, it was an amazing squad

He may not have got them playing well Renegade, but still shouldn't have been sacked if they want to be perceived as serious/benefit club long-term

im sorry but what did avram grant do at portsmouth?

posted on 4/3/12

Worrying times now for Chelsea. Sacking AVB which he probably deserved because people have been saying that he should be sacked for weeks and he has only won 3 games in Chelsea's last 12.

Who is the next manager going to be?

posted on 4/3/12

They werent playing well for Ancelotti's last season either? This squad is clearly declining, theres about 7 players who really deserve their place there in the last 2 seasons, the squad strength is absolutley miles away from what Grant had

Steve Kean

Roberto Di Matteo for the red of the season. Probably Benitez, Mourinho or Capello season after then who knows after that season

Abramovich may as well take over himself soon. The club has turned into a farce and he's allowed the senior players to dictate his opinion. The same happened under Scolari imo and maybe even Grant.

Punting I don't think AVB should have been sacked. But still don't think he did well enough.

Was just highlighting that I don't believe success is down to the players.

Didn't capello say his last job will be the england job
