The fact is AVB lost the support of the mourinho clang. They didnt like the fact that he was trying to replace them so they obviously had influence

Comparing last season to this season though Ancelloti was doing a better job. And that was without Mata, Romeu, Sturridge, Miereles, Cahill, Lukaku,

ancelotti was hardly doing a better job tbf, we have more points now then we did this stage last season its just the opposition are stronger this year. Instead of Mata, Romeu, Sturridge, Miereles, Cahill, Lukaku he had an in form Malouda for the most part, fully fit Essien, Anelka getting goals, Lampard at his best, Alex and Lukaku not been used this season really. The form of the main players started going down last year and in reality they should have been replaced but AVB didnt get the support in this and it doesnt like anyone will, best option is now letting their contracts run down

So within a few months Malouda, Lampard, Anelka, Alex were no longer up to it?

If Ancelotti had them playing well. Then surely a few months later AVB should be able to get them playing well.

They started going bad under ancelotti which is what ive been saying, hes taken over a squad declining very quickly

posted on 4/3/12

So over a few months the quality of these said players had declined rapidly

posted on 4/3/12

tbh AVB wasnt ready for this job. he isnt experienced enough. He should be going for a chelsea sized job once he has had a couple of jobs around europe

posted on 4/3/12

yes renegade. They haverapidly declined. That is clear to everyone, thats also why everyone was saying last season this squad wasnt good enough anymore.

Agree wilshere, but think the ego's were a problem too. He knew what he had to do it but the players were ruining the dressing room when dropped. I personally say Lampard is the biggest culprit. Drogba has come back from ACON and worked extremley hard so dont think theres problems with him, Cole even though not playing well he is still working hard shown by his committment to get back and clear a cross yesterday when everyone else had gone up. Malouda and Lampard main ones

He's not been as awful as people make out. When with a fast(ish) CB he's been key. A good HG + experienced player to have, even if not a starter

Howedes and Dominguez/Rolando

what I thought. Don't know a great deal about Rolando but saw you describe him as a 'very good' player so thought could be decent

And I got the next big defender, Papadopolous

posted on 4/3/12

He was good for AVB lol

Di matteo going to win CL for Chelsea!

Despite losing Ruiz am v happy with cbss

posted on 4/3/12

Punting you are right, he is very tall

I've got the next Beckenbauer, Jonny Evans

posted on 4/3/12

Chivu doesn't play at CB much if ever now any more Fan, but still a nice set of options (and he's as slow as Ferdinand )

Not just that, his name is to Renegade

Bonucci, Ruiz, Dann, Radu, Manolas for west ham - a good 5 that Manolas could be quite good
