you still cant just throw him in. when he first joined his first touch was awful doesnt matter about size if you cant control the ball, hes had to improve and has done. playing him when hes not ready wouldnt improve him

I didnt read all his comments i dont think he is rubbish but i do think he should have plaed more, to be ready for next season, this season hasnt really helped him any

i think its helped massivly but then again i guess you have to have watched him throughout the season, from the beginning to the reserve games to the recent first team games thers a definite improvement. his decision making and first touch is massivly improved. cirtainly wouldnt say this season has been wasted its helped him. hes got a fair bit of recognition tonight, a few articles on our board and all the player rating ones have him as our best player so hes impressed

For the price paid for him, he should have been involved in a lot more games than he has done.

If your spending that much money on someone, they should be playing more often, regardless of their age. There is a reason they spent that much because he was supposed to be really good.

he was supposed to have really good potential which he does. No one really thought hed be getting loads of games when we play one CF with the players weve got surely? It was very obvious he was bought in summer for the future thats why we tried to loan him out. if it was for the silly rules hed have been playing regularly at stoke or someone this year

In a 50 + game season, an £18m signing that, as far as I know, hasn't picked up an injury all season should have played more than 6 games...

12m he has had an injury think around december/january. agree he should have played more but like i say its not his fault, he was meant to go out on loan but couldnt and then avb wouldnt drop drogba for any game. He'll be a great player for us, i have no doubts about that tbh, hes only 18

why should he have been on the bench for most of the games? Look at our squad hes an 18 year old!! Drogba, Torres, Mata, Kalou, Ramires, Sturridge, Malouda ect hes got to compete with all of them for 3 positions and 2 sub places thats not exactly easy!

I consider that to be £18m, it doesn't matter when they pay it, they will eventually.

but they pay it hes going to be like 25 lol at this stage he has cost us 12m, may never have to pay the add ons so seems silly to currently count him.

the point is though theres one 18 year old getting anything like regular time for the big clubs in the PL and thats AOC and even then hes not really started that many, arsenal have had loads of injury so it was easier to get a chance in the first place too.

look at welbeck, bale ect they werent playing regular pl football at 18
