Morning All.

A personality clash will be heading Levy`s way if this happens, he will have had to make Conte some idle assurances that he has no real intention of fulfilling, a recipe for disaster no doubt.

Seems like Spurs' preference remains taking on Chelsea once weres.
As everyone knows Conte's first season with Chelsea was brilliant. It may well be with you lot too.

It’s almost as if it’s Levy who’s the problem!

Hopefully better than the last two!

Avb - mistake
Jose - Levy has had hard on for him for years and when he was available couldn't not get him in despite him being done
Conte - unattached to a club now so easier for Levy

Of course Sandy sees no problem at all with Conte.
Sometimes I think Levy should hire Sandy as an adviser
But if it is Conte,.......maybe this will be the season ENIC decides to sell up and move out.
Because Conte ain't no shrinking violet......
the sparks willl fly ...in Italian!!
And will Kane stay.........

Not sure he’s the type of manager that Spurs need right now.

Would still love him at Arsenal though. Sickening that we have to stick with Artitler

If Conte comes in I can see us looking to gut Inter Milan - it’s been quite public that they need to raise about £80m in sales. So:

Lukaku?
Skrinar?
Eriksen?

That would be an idea start. Unfortunately, likely funded by the sale of Kane.

I have a horrible feeling it could be l:

Young
Moses
Sanchez

He was my third or fourth choice but I'm not really against the hire because:

1. He's only going to be here for 2 seasons, just enough time for Poch to come back
2. He may rage himself out of the club but he doesn't leave them in disarray like Jose does.
3. He plays ok football and is a good coach and tactician
4. He is a legit winner

Levy hired Jose because he thought that there was nobody better suited to win a trophy, he was wrong. Conte is the 'modern' version of Jose with the added bonus of being a better coach, man-manager, and tactician.

I agree it's a concern about not being backed financially but he will know the situation he's walking into if he takes the job.

Levy has a gentleman agreement with Conte for unlimited funds.

Blimey, how many times have I heard someone say "not sure he is right for Spurs" based on what exactly ??? because, like this one, they never actually expand on their opinion. Perhaps the alternative of not having a manager is better ??
And as for making it about Arteta. Mate, nobody on a Spurs board cares.

On the contrary he could be exactly what we need! He doesn't seem to take any guff from anybody and will be in a position to demand what he needs from the club's management.

I’m amazed Conte would go anywhere near spurs to be honest.

Because he’s a manager that puts the finishing touches on a project whereas Spurs need a manager who is capable of a rebuild. He’s basically another version of Maureen, albeit a much better one.

Managers must see Levy as an easy touch these days, they just come here to top up their pensions, they know they won`t be backed properly, and will likely be out the door when they don`t hit their expectations. Nice work if you can get it.

Very happy with Conte. He's an elite manager at the top of his game. Sure he's a loose cannon and will probably rage quit in a couple of years, but I'd back him to get us top 4 next year and he may get another year out of Kane.

He is nothing like Jose. Jose is a washed up has been narcissistic cant who has been declining for years. Conte is just off the back of a successful spell at inter. His football is not negative passive tedium which Jose serves up. He's no Pep but his teams are organised and capable of playing good stuff and getting consistent results.

Really hope you're right. The loose cannon thing is surely going to be tested like nothing he's ever faced before working with Levy. People don't change and I can see this blowing up within the year.

So are non-Spurs fans fearing Spurs more with Conte or Poch?

I find it strange as Conte can only do so much if he's not given the tools to work with. In order to fear us we'd need to spend a fortune and we just won't. Honestly, you have nothing to worry about.
